## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Jobindex Scraper: Danish Jobs, Employers & Hiring Trends

Scrape **jobs from Jobindex.dk**, Denmark's largest job site, with no login and no API key, and get a **hiring report for every search**, including **how many job ads were published every quarter since 2007**:

- **Every job**: title, employer, employer rating and number of ratings, followers, website, workplace address and coordinates, area, posted date, application deadline (or "as soon as possible"), summary, link to the full ad
- **Filters**: municipality, region or area ("Aarhus", "Region Midtjylland", "Storkøbenhavn", or English names like "Copenhagen"), Jobindex categories, employment type (permanent, fixed-term, student job, internship, graduate, freelance ...), full-time or part-time, working from home, posted today / last 7 / last 30 days
- **No 1,000 limit**: Jobindex shows at most 1,000 jobs per search, so bigger searches are read area by area, then by category
- **Report per search**: every matching job by area, category and sector, the **top hiring employers**, the **job-ad trend** (ads per quarter since 2007, change on a year ago, peak quarter), plus deadlines, ratings and freshness of the jobs read

### What does this Jobindex scraper do?

```
Jobindex · "sygeplejerske" (nurse) · 1,599 open jobs
 Storkøbenhavn 391 · Region Midtjylland 358 · Region Sjælland 261
 Top employers: Region Hovedstaden 181 · Region Syddanmark 149
 Job ads 2026-Q3: 5,832 (+21.5% on 2025-Q3) · peak 2022-Q1
```

1. Enter **keywords** (Danish or English) or leave empty for every job, and optionally **areas** and **categories**.
2. Pick filters: **employment type**, **hours**, **working from home**, **posted within**.
3. You get **one row per job** and **one report per keyword**.

### Who is it for?

- **Recruiters and staffing agencies in Denmark**: who is hiring for a role, where, and how fast demand is moving
- **Sales teams selling to employers**: companies with many open roles, with website, rating and size of following
- **Job seekers and career services**: every open job for a role, with deadlines, in one sheet
- **Analysts, economists and journalists**: Danish job-ad volumes by occupation and region, back to 2007
- **HR and employer-branding teams**: how your employer rating and hiring volume compare with others hiring the same people

### What data do you get?

**Jobs** (dataset, one row per job)

| `company`, `companyId`, `companyWebsite`, `companyProfileUrl` | The employer |
| `companyRating`, `companyRatings`, `companyFollowers` | Jobindex employer rating (out of 5), how many ratings, followers |
| `area`, `city`, `zipcode`, `workplaceAddress`, `latitude`, `longitude` | The workplace |
| `postedAt`, `applyDeadline`, `applyAsSoonAsPossible`, `listedUntil` | When it was posted and when to apply |
| `homeWorkplace`, `isPromoted` | Home working and promoted ads |
| `summary` | The short summary Jobindex shows in results |

**Report** (`REPORTS`, one per keyword)

| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| `totalOnJobindex`, `jobsRead` | Every matching job, and how many were read |
| `allJobsByArea`, `allJobsByCategory`, `allJobsBySector`, `topHiringCompanies` | Counts over **every** matching job |
| `jobAdTrend` | Ads in the last full quarter, a year before, the change, the peak quarter, and the last 8 quarters |
| `topCompaniesRead`, `topCities`, `ratedCompanyPercent`, `medianCompanyRating` | Among the jobs read |

### Example: 17 October 2026

Four keywords, up to 500 jobs each: **1,684 jobs and 4 reports in 88 seconds, 89 requests**.

| Keyword | Open jobs | Most jobs in | Top employer | Ads 2026-Q3 | Change on a year ago |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| python | 184 | Storkøbenhavn | Aarhus Universitet | 977 | −12.3% |
| sygeplejerske (nurse) | 1,599 | Storkøbenhavn | Region Hovedstaden | 5,832 | +21.5% |
| salg (sales) | 1,812 | Storkøbenhavn | Maxi Zoo | 7,173 | +5.3% |
| lærer (teacher) | 4,917 | Storkøbenhavn | Københavns Kommune | 18,318 | +22.4% |

- **Every job on Jobindex**, no keyword: **21,804 open jobs**; 78,688 ads published in 2026-Q3 (+6.8% on a year ago). A run read 3,000 of the last 30 days' jobs, past the 1,000 limit, in 146 seconds.
- Python job ads **peaked in 2026-Q1** (1,963) and fell back since; nurse and teacher ads are up over 20% on a year ago.

### Pricing

**$0.001 per job** and **$0.02 per search report**.

- 500 jobs with a report: **$0.52**
- The run above (1,684 jobs, 4 reports): **$1.76**
- A report with just a few jobs (for the trend and employer counts): about **$0.04**

### Good to know

- **Job-ad trend** counts every ad Jobindex published for the search in each quarter, open or closed; the current quarter is partial and marked.
- **Summaries**: rows carry the short summary from the results; the full ad opens from `adUrl`.
- **Salary**: Danish job ads rarely state pay, so there is no salary field.
- **Areas**: municipalities, regions and areas as Jobindex names them; unknown names are listed in `RUN_SUMMARY`. "Copenhagen" means Storkøbenhavn.
- **No contact details**: emails and phone numbers in summaries are hidden. Addresses are the workplace addresses employers publish.
- Data comes from **Jobindex.dk's public job search**. **Not affiliated with Jobindex.**

### Input

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| **Keywords** | One search each; empty = every job |
