## Changelog

### 1.2 (2026-08-24)

- **Fixed: a blocked run no longer looks like a company with no reviews.** When Trustpilot's anti-bot wall held, the actor used to finish green with an empty dataset and no explanation. Now a run that never got through ends as **failed** with a plain-English reason, and a run that did get through but found nothing stays green and says which input came back empty. Nothing is charged in either case — charges only fire on records that are actually pushed.
- **Fixed: blocked requests are now retried on a different IP.** The retry used to re-solve the challenge on the *same* proxy IP, which never works when that IP is the thing being refused — so a single bad IP killed the whole run. Blocked requests now move to a fresh IP, with their own retry budget. Measured over 12 runs per company, review pages went from 9-11 of 12 succeeding to 12 of 12.
- **Fixed: partial results are kept.** If the wall comes up halfway through a company's reviews (or a reviewer's history), everything already collected is still pushed, and the run status says some inputs may be incomplete.
- **Fixed: a company that is genuinely not on Trustpilot** is now reported as such instead of producing a near-empty placeholder row.
- Runs no longer all start on the same proxy IP, so one exhausted IP cannot affect every run at once.
- The default example company is now `nordvpn.com`, which is both more reliable to fetch and a better demo: its profile exercises company replies, category ranks, AI summaries, description and promotion details.

### 1.1 (2026-08-24)

- **AI review summaries.** Company profile and Transparency & analytics records now carry `aiSummary` — Trustpilot's own AI digest of everything reviewers said — plus `topicSummaries`, a separate summary per topic (delivery, staff, service, product, customer service).
- **Category rankings.** New `categoryRanks` tells you where the company sits inside each of its categories (rank and how many companies it was ranked against).
- **Similar companies.** New `similarCompanies` returns the competitor list Trustpilot shows next to the profile, each with domain, TrustScore, stars and review count.
- **Branch-level data.** Multi-location businesses now return `topLocations` — every top branch with its own address, TrustScore, stars and review count — and reviews carry `locationId` / `locationName` for the branch they are about.
- **Company content.** Company records add the profile description (plain text and HTML), promotion title and selling points, the guarantee/warranty block, the linked Facebook page, whether the information came from the company or an external source, and the company country code.
- **Category listings got much richer.** Category mode now reads the listing data Trustpilot embeds in the page instead of the rendered cards: every company comes with its **street address, city, ZIP, country, website, email and phone**, all of its categories (with primary/predicted flags), `isRecommendedInCategories`, and where the browsed category sits in Trustpilot's tree (display name, number of companies, sub-categories, parent and top category). ~11 fields per row before, ~29 now.
- **Search results** add the street address, ZIP code, latitude/longitude, and the predicted top category.
- **Transparency & analytics** add `listedReviewsCount` and `filteredReviewsCount` — how many reviews Trustpilot actually lists versus the headline total — and the timestamp of the last reply to a negative review.
- **Company status** adds `previouslyClaimed` and `hasBusinessUnitMergeHistory`; the three-level category breadcrumb now returns ids alongside the display names.
- **Reviewer profiles** add `userHasProductReviews`.
- Dataset schema documents 147 fields (was 111).

### 1.0 (2026-07-07)

- Six scrape modes: Reviews, Company profile, Transparency & analytics, Search companies, Category listing, and User reviews.
- Reviews: full pagination with filters (star ratings, language, date range, verified-only, replies-only, in-review keyword search, sort by recency or relevancy) and a star-sweep trick to collect up to ~1000 reviews per company past Trustpilot's 200-per-filter cap.
- Company profile: TrustScore, star rating, review counts, categories and breadcrumb, contacts (email, phone, address, city, country, ZIP), verification flags, and claim/activity status.
- Transparency & analytics: 1-5 star rating distribution, per-language review breakdown, and company reply behaviour (reply percentage, average days to reply).
- Search & Category: discover companies by keyword or Trustpilot category, with `enrichWith` to chain each hit straight into its profile, analytics and reviews nested in one row per company.
- User reviews: a reviewer's profile plus all their reviews nested inside.
- Rich review fields: title, text, rating, experienced/published/updated dates, verification, reviewer details, company reply, and product reviews.
- Dataset views: **Overview** and **Companies**.
- Pay-per-event pricing: per review, per company profile, per transparency record, per search result, and per category result.
- No login or API key; export to JSON, CSV or Excel.
