## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Store Intelligence: Apps, Theme, Catalog & Pricing Report

Paste a list of store domains and get **one decision-ready report per verified Shopify store**: who they are, where they ship, **which apps and ad pixels they run**, **which theme they use**, **how big the catalog is**, **price bands, discounts and stock levels**, **how fast they launch new products**, plus their social profiles and **role-based contact emails** (info@, support@, wholesale@…).

### Why this Actor

- **Verified Shopify detection.** Every domain is checked: Shopify storefront signals plus the store's public `meta.json`. Non-Shopify sites come back as a **free** `not-shopify` row, so you never pay for junk in your list.
- **75+ app and pixel fingerprints.** Email/SMS (Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript, Omnisend), reviews (Judge.me, Yotpo, Okendo, Loox, Stamped), subscriptions (Recharge, Skio, Loop, Appstle), upsell and search (Rebuy, Nosto, Boost, Searchanise, Klevu), support (Gorgias, Zendesk, Tidio), BNPL (Shop Pay, Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm, Sezzle), ad pixels (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, Pinterest, Snap, Reddit, Microsoft) and analytics (GA4, GTM, Clarity, Hotjar, Triple Whale, Elevar, Northbeam).
- **Real catalog numbers, not guesses.** Reads the store's public product feed: product and variant counts, min/median/max price, share of products on sale, average discount, share of variants in stock, top vendors, product types and tags, and **products published in the last 30 and 90 days** (a launch-velocity signal).
- **Store profile.** Store name, myshopify domain, city, province and country, currency, language, number of ship-to countries, international locales, theme name and version, and whether it's a custom or headless storefront.
- **Lead-ready but privacy-safe.** Only role-based business mailboxes on the store's own domain are returned. Personal-name addresses are never collected.
- **Pay only for full reports.** Stores where Shopify is detected but the profile and catalog feeds are hidden (some headless stores) come back as a free `partial` row with whatever was visible (apps, socials, emails).
- **Lightweight.** No browser and no proxy needed for normal lists, so it's fast and cheap. In tests, 21 stores were analyzed in about 20 seconds.

### Who uses it

- **Shopify app developers and agencies:** find stores that use (or don't use) a competitor's app, and qualify leads by catalog size, price point, pixels and theme.
- **E-commerce investors and analysts:** benchmark price bands, discounting and launch velocity across brands.
- **Wholesale, 3PL and service providers:** build targeted lists with real business contact mailboxes.
- **Competitive research:** monitor a competitor's catalog, discounts and new launches on a schedule.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `stores` | Domains or URLs, one per line (`allbirds.com`, `https://colourpop.com`). |
| `catalogPages` | Pages of the product feed to analyze, at 250 products per page (default 4, so up to 1,000 products). |
| `contactEmails` | `role-based` (default) or `none`. |
| `includeProducts` / `maxProductsPerStore` | Also output product rows (title, URL, vendor, type, tags, price range, sale flag, stock, image). |
| `maxStores`, `maxConcurrency` | Limits. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Optional. Only needed if some stores rate-limit you on large lists. |

### Pricing

Pay per event, with no subscription:

- **$5.00 per 1,000 full store reports.**
- **$1.00 per 1,000 product rows**, only if you switch product rows on.
- `not-shopify`, `partial`, `rate-limited` and `unreachable` rows are **free**.

### FAQ

**What data does it read?** Only public storefront pages and the public feeds every Shopify store serves to browsers and search engines (`/meta.json`, `/products.json`, the homepage and `/pages/contact`). It does not log in, check out, read customer data or touch paths that the store's robots.txt disallows.

**Why are some fields empty?** Headless or custom storefronts can hide the feeds, and stores may not publish some data. Those stores are returned as free `partial` rows.

**Are app detections 100% accurate?** They are fingerprint matches on the storefront HTML: very reliable for apps that load storefront scripts, but apps that only run in the admin or at checkout can't be seen.

**Prices look different from my country.** Shopify Markets can localize prices and currency to the visitor's IP. The report shows the currency the store served to the Actor.

# Actor input Schema

## `stores` (type: `array`):

One per line, e.g. allbirds.com, https://colourpop.com, deathwishcoffee.com. Non-Shopify sites are detected and returned as a free 'not-shopify' row.

## `catalogPages` (type: `integer`):

How much of the public product feed to read for price, discount, stock and launch-velocity stats. 4 pages = up to 1,000 products.

## `contactEmails` (type: `string`):

Personal-name email addresses are never returned.

## `includeProducts` (type: `boolean`):

Adds one row per product (title, URL, vendor, type, tags, price range, sale flag, stock, image) after each store report. Charged per product row.

## `maxProductsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

Only used when product rows are on.

## `maxStores` (type: `integer`):

0 = analyze all stores in the list.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Keep this low to stay polite to storefronts.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Usually not needed. Turn on Apify Proxy if some stores answer with rate-limit (HTTP 429) for large lists.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "stores": [
    "allbirds.com",
    "colourpop.com",
    "deathwishcoffee.com"
  ],
  "catalogPages": 4,
  "contactEmails": "role-based",
  "includeProducts": false,
  "maxProductsPerStore": 250,
  "maxStores": 0,
  "maxConcurrency": 4,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

All rows returned by this run.
