# HTTP Request Runner (bulk API calls, GET, POST, JSON) (`psypherz/http-request-runner`) Actor

Send up to 10,000 HTTP requests per run: GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE or HEAD with your own headers and body. Get status, headers, timing and the body, with JSON parsed for you.

## Pricing

from $1.70 / 1,000 request answereds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## HTTP Request Runner (bulk API calls, GET, POST, JSON)

Send up to 10,000 HTTP requests in one run and get every answer back as a clean row: status code, timing, final URL after redirects, response headers and the body. JSON responses are parsed into objects, so you can use them straight away in Make, Zapier, n8n, Sheets or an AI agent.

**Price: US$0.002 per answered request (first 1 MB of each response included), US$0.001 per extra started MB, plus a US$0.001 run fee.** 1,000 requests with small responses cost US$2.001. Requests that fail before any answer (timeout, DNS, refused) are not charged.

### What people use it for

- **Bulk API calls without code:** call a REST API for a list of IDs and get all the JSON back in one dataset.
- **Webhooks and integrations:** POST data to an endpoint from a scheduled Apify task.
- **Uptime and status checks:** check status codes and response times for a list of URLs or endpoints.
- **Redirect checks:** see where each link ends up after redirects.
- **AI agent tool:** a safe, metered way for an agent to call public HTTP APIs.

### Input

- `requests`: list of objects: `url`, `method` (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE, HEAD; default GET), `headers`, `body` (text, or JSON sent as application/json), `label` (optional tag copied to the output).
- `urls`: optional plain links to GET.
- `maxResponseMb` (default 2, up to 10), `timeoutSeconds` (default 30), `followRedirects` (default true), `parseJson` (default true).

### Example output

Real output from the sample input (30 Oct 2026).

| # | label | method | status | ms | content type | bytes |

| 2 | JSON POST | POST | 200 | 829 | application/json | 490 |
| 3 | public API | GET | 200 | 328 | application/json | 6621 |

### Rules this Actor follows

- **Public hosts only.** Private, local and cloud metadata addresses are refused, on every redirect hop too.
- **Honest identity.** Every request uses the User-Agent `ApifyHttpRequestRunner/1.0` with a link to this page. It cannot be changed, and the Actor never disguises itself as a browser or tries to get past bot protection or CAPTCHAs.
- **robots.txt respected.** Paths a site disallows for automated clients are skipped and not charged.
- **Polite.** At most 2 requests at a time to the same host, 10 in total.
- **Your headers stay private.** Request headers (API keys, tokens) are sent only to the URL you give. They are never logged or written to the output.
- Use it only for endpoints you are allowed to call, under their terms.

### Limits

- 10,000 requests per run; request bodies up to 1 MB; responses cut at 10 MB.
- No JavaScript rendering. For pages that need a browser, use a browser-based Actor.

### FAQ

**Is a 404 or 500 charged?** Yes. The server answered, and you get its status and body. Only requests with no answer at all are free.

**Can I send an API key?** Yes, in `headers` (for example `Authorization`). It is sent to that URL only and never stored in the output or log.

**Can an AI agent call it?** Yes. Compact JSON with stable field names and pay-per-event pricing.

# Actor input Schema

## `requests` (type: `array`):

One object per request: {"url": "...", "method": "POST", "headers": {...}, "body": {...} or "text", "label": "optional tag"}. Method defaults to GET. A JSON body is sent with Content-Type application/json.

## `urls` (type: `array`):

Optional. Plain links to GET, one per line. Added after the requests above.

## `maxResponseMb` (type: `number`):

Bodies are cut at this size and marked truncated. Up to 10.

## `timeoutSeconds` (type: `integer`):

From 1 to 120.

## `followRedirects` (type: `boolean`):

Follow 3xx redirects to the final address (up to 5). Each hop is checked for private addresses.

## `parseJson` (type: `boolean`):

Put JSON responses in the "json" field as an object instead of text.
