## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 tenders

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

This Actor reads India's **Government e-Marketplace (GeM)** bid list — bids and reverse auctions from central and state ministries, departments and public bodies — and returns one record per bid with its item category, quantity, buyer, start and end dates and the link to the bid document.

### What it does

- Returns **one record per bid or reverse auction**: 44,694 ongoing, 3.37 million awarded and 961,263 cancelled when this was verified.
- **Filters at the source**: keyword (contains or exact bid number), status (ongoing, in technical or financial evaluation, awarded, cancelled), bid type (product, service, BOQ, rate contract, global, limited or single tender…), high-value only and an end-date range, with GeM's four sort orders.
- Links each bid's **document PDF** the way the GeM page does.
- Handles GeM's session, token and access from outside India on every run; nothing to configure.

### Use cases

| You need to | How this Actor does it |
| --- | --- |
| Find GeM bids for your products | Keyword plus bid type `product`, read the end date |
| Watch high-value tenders | `highValueOnly` and schedule the run |
| Analyse what India buys | Pull awarded bids by category and ministry |
| Track a ministry or department | Filter by keyword and group by `ministry` / `department` |

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | What it controls |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `keyword` | string | empty | GeM search |
| `exactMatch` | boolean | `false` | Exact search, e.g. a full bid number |
| `status` | string | `ongoing` | `ongoing`, `technical_evaluation`, `financial_evaluation`, `awarded`, `cancelled` |
| `bidType` | string | `all` | `product`, `service`, `bidToRA`, `custom`, `boq`, `rcbid`, `gt`, `lt`, `st` |
| `highValueOnly` | boolean | `false` | Only bids GeM flags as high value |
| `endDateFrom` / `endDateTo` | date | empty | Bid end-date range (within a year of today) |
| `sort` | string | GeM default | Start or end date, latest or oldest first |
| `maxItems` | integer | `500` | Caps how many bids are returned, and so the cost |

```json
{
    "keyword": "solar",
    "bidType": "product",
    "maxItems": 100
}
```

### Output

```json
{
    "bidNumber": "GEM/2026/R/744443",
    "bidKind": "RA",
    "itemCategory": "ELISA Reader and Washer - Semi Automated",
    "quantity": 1,
    "department": "Health & Family Welfare Department Gujarat",
    "startDate": "2026-10-01T19:00:00Z",
    "endDate": "2026-10-05T11:21:53Z",
    "parentBidNumber": "GEM/2026/B/7559982",
    "isHighValue": false,
    "bidDocumentUrl": "https://bidplus.gem.gov.in/showradocumentPdf/9970935"
}
```

`raw` carries every other field GeM returns for the bid, as published.

### Coverage and limits

- Fields are what GeM's bid list returns; the bid document is linked, not parsed.
- Many bids share an identical end time and GeM's sort has no tie-breaker, so a tied bid can move across a page boundary between requests. Repeats are dropped; on large runs a tied bid can occasionally be missed.
- The buyer official's GeM login name is returned by the source and dropped by this Actor.

### Pricing

Pay per event: one `tender-scraper` event per bid written to the dataset. The optional schema.org block is charged once per run.

# Actor input Schema

## `keyword` (type: `string`):

Search run by GeM. Example: 'solar' (268 ongoing bids when verified). With Exact match on, use a full bid number such as 'GEM/2026/B/8021470'.

## `exactMatch` (type: `boolean`):

GeM's exact search (whole values such as a bid number) instead of its contains search.

## `status` (type: `string`):

Filtered by GeM. When verified: ongoing 44,694, technical evaluation 181,351, awarded 3,373,420, cancelled 961,263.

## `bidType` (type: `string`):

Filtered by GeM. Product had 33,851 and service 10,844 ongoing bids when verified.

## `highValueOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only bids GeM flags as high value (2,744 ongoing when verified).

## `endDateFrom` (type: `string`):

Bids ending on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD). GeM accepts dates within a year either side of today.

## `endDateTo` (type: `string`):

Bids ending on or before this date (YYYY-MM-DD).

## `sort` (type: `string`):

Order as GeM sorts. Default: end date oldest first for ongoing bids, latest first otherwise.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Caps how many bids are written to the dataset, and so caps the cost. Set to 0 for everything matched.

## `schemaOrg` (type: `boolean`):

Appends a `schemaOrg` object to every record, mapping it to schema.org (Demand). Charged once per run, not per record.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "exactMatch": false,
  "status": "ongoing",
  "bidType": "all",
  "highValueOnly": false,
  "maxItems": 500,
  "schemaOrg": false
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Projects matched by the run, one item per record, in the default dataset.
