## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 tenders

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

This Actor reads **buy.nsw**, the New South Wales government procurement portal, in two modes: **open opportunities** (tenders, EOIs, RFQs, schemes) and the **register of notices** (contract awards, standing offers, planned procurement and more), with each record's detail page when you want it.

### What it does

- **Opportunities**: 163 open when this was verified — title, opportunity ID, type, agency, category, close date, and from the detail page the publish and decision dates, contact, locations, goals, scope and file list.
- **Notices**: 18,613 in the register, 15,687 of them contract awards — agency, contract period, estimated amount payable (inc. GST), contractor name, and from the detail page the method of tendering, contractors with ABN, ACN and address, and the assessment criteria.
- **Filters at the source**: keyword, category, and opportunity type and area or notice type, with the portal's sort orders.
- Gets past the portal's WAF on every run; nothing to configure.

### Use cases

| You need to | How this Actor does it |
| --- | --- |
| Find NSW tenders to bid on | Opportunities, filter by category or area, read the close date |
| See who wins NSW contracts and for how much | Notices, type `contract-award`, read contractor, ABN and amount |
| Track an agency's spending | Notices by keyword, group by agency |
| Watch upcoming work | Notices, type `planned-procurement` |

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | What it controls |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `mode` | string | `opportunities` | `opportunities` or `notices` |
| `keyword` | string | empty | Portal search |
| `opportunityTypes` | array | empty | `Expression of Interest`, `Proposed`, `Schemes`, `Tenders` |
| `areas` | array | empty | NSW regions, e.g. `hunter`, `sydney-metro` |
| `categories` | array | empty | e.g. `construction`, `healthcare` |
| `noticeTypes` | array | empty | `contract-award`, `standing-offer`, `planned-procurement`, `public-interest-certificate`, `sale-or-lease-of-property` |
| `sort` | string | portal default | See the input description |
| `fetchDetails` | boolean | `true` | Detail pages; slower |
| `maxItems` | integer | `500` | Caps how many records are returned, and so the cost |

```json
{
    "mode": "notices",
    "noticeTypes": ["contract-award"],
    "categories": ["construction"],
    "maxItems": 200
}
```

### Output

```json
{
    "referenceId": "CAN-MAAS-RFQ 26/006",
    "title": "Powerhouse Food – Culinary Industry Leader/Ambassador",
    "type": "Contract award",
    "agency": "Powerhouse",
    "publishDate": "2026-10-03",
    "contractStartDate": "2026-08-01",
    "contractEndDate": "2028-07-31",
    "estimatedAmount": 440000,
    "contractorName": "KYLIE KWONG PTY LTD",
    "methodOfTendering": "Request for quote (RFQ)",
    "contractors": [{ "name": "KYLIE KWONG PTY LTD", "ABN": "92166046555", "ACN": "166046555" }],
    "url": "https://buy.nsw.gov.au/notices/27DCF45A-5341-4A09-86A1C130599F9B2A"
}
```

### Coverage and limits

- Opportunity documents are listed by name and size; their download links are temporary and need the portal, so they are not returned.
- Every label the detail page shows is kept in `details`, as published.

### Pricing

Pay per event: one `tender-scraper` event per record written to the dataset. The optional schema.org block is charged once per run.

# Actor input Schema

## `mode` (type: `string`):

Open opportunities (163 when verified) or the register of notices (18,613: contract awards, standing offers, planned procurement …).

## `keyword` (type: `string`):

Search run by buy.nsw. Example: 'road' (7 opportunities), 'cleaning' (98 notices).

## `opportunityTypes` (type: `array`):

Filtered by buy.nsw. Tenders had 105 when verified.

## `areas` (type: `array`):

NSW regions, filtered by buy.nsw. Hunter had 96 when verified.

## `categories` (type: `array`):

Filtered by buy.nsw in both modes. Construction had 38 opportunities; healthcare 2,297 notices.

## `noticeTypes` (type: `array`):

Filtered by buy.nsw. Contract award had 15,687 of 18,613 when verified.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

Opportunities: LastUpdated, AtoZ, ZtoA, Ascending, Descending (close date). Notices: publishDate, LastUpdated.

## `fetchDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Reads each record's page: for opportunities the publish and decision dates, contact, locations, goals, scope and file list; for notices the method of tendering, contract dates, contractors with ABN/ACN and address, and the assessment criteria.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Caps how many records are written to the dataset, and so caps the cost. Set to 0 for everything matched.

## `schemaOrg` (type: `boolean`):

Appends a `schemaOrg` object to every record, mapping it to schema.org (Demand). Charged once per run, not per record.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "mode": "opportunities",
  "fetchDetails": true,
  "maxItems": 500,
  "schemaOrg": false
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Projects matched by the run, one item per record, in the default dataset.
