## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 tenders

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

This Actor reads Costa Rica's public procurement from **SICOP**, the Sistema Integrado de Compras Públicas: every procurement procedure registered in a date range, with institution, procedure type, status, offer period and bid opening, plus each procedure's full notice (budget, procedure detail, clarification window, conditions and every field SICOP publishes).

### What it does

- **Procedures by registration day**: 161 registered on 5 October 2026 when this was verified; 4,237 from 1 September to 6 October.
- **Filters at the source**: keyword in the title, procedure type (e.g. `LD` licitación reducida), only those receiving offers; institution name matched by the Actor.
- **Full notice** (on by default): budget, procedure type and detail, goods or services, offer period, opening, clarification deadline, offer validity, joint bids, general, special and administrative conditions as text, and every other published field in `details`.

### Use cases

| You need to | How this Actor does it |
| --- | --- |
| Find Costa Rican tenders to bid on | `receivingOffersOnly`, read `offerDeadline` and `budget` |
| Track one institution | `institution`, e.g. Municipalidad |
| Watch a product or service | `keyword` in the title |
| Analyse procurement by type | `procedureType`, `procedureTypeName` |

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | What it controls |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `dateFrom` | string | two days ago | First registration day (Costa Rica time) |
| `dateTo` | string | today | Last registration day |
| `keyword` | string | empty | Title |
| `institution` | string | empty | Institution name |
| `procedureType` | string | empty | Procedure type code, e.g. `LD`, `LY`, `PX` |
| `receivingOffersOnly` | boolean | `false` | Only procedures receiving offers |
| `fetchDetails` | boolean | `true` | Read each procedure's notice |
| `maxItems` | integer | `500` | Caps how many procedures are returned, and so the cost |

```json
{
    "dateFrom": "2026-09-29",
    "dateTo": "2026-10-05",
    "receivingOffersOnly": true
}
```

### Output

```json
{
    "procedureNumber": "2026LD-000085-0012300001",
    "title": "SERVICIO DE CATERING SERVICE",
    "openingAt": "2026-10-12T10:05:00-06:00"
}
```

### Coverage and limits

- Budgets are in colones (`budget`) unless SICOP publishes a dollar budget (`budgetUsd`).
- Texts are in Spanish, as published.

### Pricing

Pay per event: one `tender-scraper` event per procedure written to the dataset. The optional schema.org block is charged once per run.

Last registration day, inclusive, YYYY-MM-DD. Default: today.

## `keyword` (type: `string`):

Searched by SICOP in the procedure title, e.g. 'servicio' (997 from 1 Sept to 6 Oct 2026).

## `institution` (type: `string`):

Matched in the institution name, e.g. 'Municipalidad', 'Caja Costarricense'.
