## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 tenders

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

This Actor reads Buying for Victoria (tenders.vic.gov.au), the Victorian government's tender portal, and returns one record per tender — and for awarded tenders, the contract: value, start and expiry, procurement method, number of submissions and every supplier with its ABN.

### What it does

- Returns **one record per tender**: open, closed, awarded, advance notices and the rest — 73 open and 1,242 awarded when this was verified.
- **Filters at the source**: keyword, status, type, issuing agency (any of 577), tender number, and opening, closing and award date ranges.
- Reads each tender page for the **description, region, enquiry contacts and document list**, and each award's **contract page** for value, dates, method, submissions and suppliers.
- Gets past the portal's Cloudflare protection on every run; nothing to configure.

### Use cases

| You need to | How this Actor does it |
| --- | --- |
| Find Victorian tenders to bid on | Default run (open tenders) or a keyword, read the closing date |
| See who wins Victorian contracts | Status `AWARDED` and read suppliers with ABN and contract value |
| Track an agency's buying | Set the agency and schedule the run |
| Price your bid | Pull past awards in your category and compare `contractValue` |

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | What it controls |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `keyword` | string | empty | Portal search |
| `tenderState` | string | open | `OPEN`, `CLOSED`, `AWARDED`, `ADVANCE_NOTICE`, `NOT_AWARDED`, `WITHDRAWN`, `EOI_SHORTLISTED`, `EXPIRED` |
| `tenderType` | string | empty | `REQUEST_FOR_TENDER`, `EXPRESSION_OF_INTEREST`, `REQUEST_FOR_QUOTATION`, … |
| `agency` | string | empty | Agency name, exact or a unique part |
| `tenderNumber` | string | empty | RFx number |
| `openedFrom` … `awardedTo` | date | empty | Opening, closing and award date ranges |
| `fetchDetails` | boolean | `true` | Tender and contract pages; slower |
| `maxItems` | integer | `500` | Caps how many tenders are returned, and so the cost |

```json
{
    "tenderState": "AWARDED",
    "awardedFrom": "2026-09-01",
    "maxItems": 100
}
```

### Output

    "contractValueText": "$600,000.00 (Estimate)",
    "contractStart": "2026-10-01",
    "contractExpiry": "2029-09-30",
    "numberOfSubmissions": 9,

        { "name": "Talent Acquisition Group Pty Ltd", "ACN": "676701045", "ABN": "32676701045" }
    ],
    "tenderUrl": "https://www.tenders.vic.gov.au/tender/view?id=324534"
}
```
### Coverage and limits
- Contract values are often published as estimates; `contractValueText` keeps the portal's wording.
- Document names are listed; downloading the documents needs a Buying for Victoria login.
- Every page is read through Apify's unblocking proxy, so runs with details take a few seconds per tender.
### Pricing
Pay per event: one `tender-scraper` event per tender written to the dataset. The optional schema.org block is charged once per run.
# Actor input Schema
## `keyword` (type: `string`):
Search run by Buying for Victoria. Example: 'road' (2,574 tenders when verified).
## `tenderState` (type: `string`):
Filtered by the portal. With no filter at all the run returns open tenders (73 when verified); AWARDED had 1,242.
## `tenderType` (type: `string`):
Filtered by the portal. REQUEST_FOR_QUOTATION had 719 when verified.
## `agency` (type: `string`):
Agency name as Buying for Victoria lists it (577 agencies). Exact or a unique part of the name, e.g. 'Agriculture Victoria'.
## `tenderNumber` (type: `string`):
The tender's RFx number, e.g. 'PROCF22-000236'.
## `openedFrom` (type: `string`):
Tenders opened on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD).
## `openedTo` (type: `string`):
Tenders opened on or before this date.
## `closingFrom` (type: `string`):
Tenders closing on or after this date.
## `closingTo` (type: `string`):
Tenders closing on or before this date.
## `awardedFrom` (type: `string`):
Tenders awarded on or after this date; use with Status = Awarded.
## `awardedTo` (type: `string`):
Tenders awarded on or before this date.
## `fetchDetails` (type: `boolean`):
Reads each tender page (description, region, contacts, document list) and, for awarded tenders, the contract page (value, dates, method, submissions, suppliers with ABN/ACN). Each page goes through the unblocking proxy, so this is slower.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Caps how many tenders are written to the dataset, and so caps the cost. Set to 0 for everything matched.
## `schemaOrg` (type: `boolean`):
Appends a `schemaOrg` object to every record, mapping it to schema.org (Demand). Charged once per run, not per record.
## Actor input object example
```json
{
  "fetchDetails": true,
  "maxItems": 500,
  "schemaOrg": false
}
```
# Actor output Schema
## `results` (type: `string`):
Projects matched by the run, one item per record, in the default dataset.
