## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## YouTube Channel Videos Scraper – All Videos, Shorts & Streams

Get the **complete list of videos of any YouTube channel** – regular videos, Shorts and live streams – with title, view count, duration, publish date, thumbnail and URL. Turn on details to add likes, full description, tags, category and the channel's subscriber count. No YouTube Data API key, no daily quota.

**$1 per 1,000 listed videos, $2 per 1,000 with full details.** A channel with 500 videos costs $0.50.

### What you get

```json
{
  "type": "video",
  "videoId": "lIId8IDP6TU",
  "url": "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIId8IDP6TU",
  "title": "Why the Sky Is Blue (and Sunsets Red)",
  "publishedTimeText": "3 weeks ago",
  "publishedAt": "2026-08-08T14:10:45.184Z",
  "durationText": "18:21",
  "durationSeconds": 1101,
  "viewCount": 2655142,
  "thumbnailUrl": "https://i.ytimg.com/vi/lIId8IDP6TU/hq720.jpg",
  "isShort": false,
  "isLive": false,
  "source": "channel:@veritasium:videos",
  "position": 1
}
```

With `fetchDetailsForListedVideos` you also get `likeCount`, `description`, `keywords`, `category`, exact `publishedAt` and `channelSubscriberCount`. The first item per channel is the channel profile (subscribers, video count, description, avatar).

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `channelUrls` | Channel URLs or `@handles`, one per line. |
| `channelTabs` | `videos`, `shorts`, `streams` – any combination. |
| `maxVideosPerChannel` | Per channel and tab; 0 = everything. |
| `fetchDetailsForListedVideos` | Add likes, description, tags, category (2× price). |

### Use cases

- **Content audits** – which formats and topics get views on a channel.
- **Competitor & creator research** – upload cadence, best-performing videos, Shorts vs long-form.
- **Archiving & catalogues** – a full list of a channel's videos with IDs for further processing.
- **Datasets for AI** – pipe the video URLs into the [YouTube Transcript Scraper](https://apify.com/pulsedata/youtube-transcript-scraper) and [YouTube Comments Scraper](https://apify.com/pulsedata/youtube-comments-scraper).
- **Monitoring** – schedule a daily run with `maxVideosPerChannel: 20` to catch new uploads.

### FAQ

**Do I need a YouTube API key?** No, and there is no quota – the actor reads YouTube's public pages.

**Can I get all videos of a big channel?** Yes – set `maxVideosPerChannel` to 0. Channels with thousands of videos take a few minutes.

**Why is the publish date approximate?** Channel pages show relative times ('3 weeks ago'). Turn on details for the exact date.

**Need search, playlists or single videos?** Use the full [YouTube Scraper](https://apify.com/pulsedata/youtube-scraper).

### Integrations

Run via API/SDK or on a schedule; export JSON, CSV, Excel; push to Google Sheets, Make, Zapier, n8n; usable as an MCP tool for AI agents.
