## Google News RSS Search — Headlines API

Search Google's public News RSS feed and return clean article-headline records for one or more queries.

This Actor is deliberately narrow: it is a fast **headlines/feed API**, not a full-article scraper. It does not use browser automation, proxies, logins, an API key, AI summaries, or fabricated popularity metrics.

### What it does

- searches Google News RSS for up to 50 queries;
- supports country and language/locale hints;
- optionally adds a recency filter such as 1 day or 7 days;
- preserves the exact source query and feed URL;
- returns title, publisher, publication time, Google News article URL, and feed description;
- deduplicates repeated stories across queries;
- caps query and output volume;
- exports through the Apify dataset/API.

You can use Google search operators inside a query, including quoted phrases and `site:`. If your query already contains a `when:` operator, the Actor leaves it unchanged.

Pay per unique article record saved. Duplicate rows and empty queries are not billed as articles.

### Important limitations

Google News RSS normally exposes a snapshot of up to roughly 100 items for one query. This MVP does not attempt deep historical pagination or guaranteed final-publisher URL resolution. The `googleNewsUrl` is the URL supplied by the public Google News RSS feed. For full article text or guaranteed publisher URLs, use a product designed for that heavier job.

Google controls the feed format and result set. A headline in the feed is not a statement of accuracy, endorsement, or completeness by this Actor.
