## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Zepto Search Scraper

Search **Zepto** (groceries and essentials in minutes) the way a shopper does, at any Indian delivery location. Every product comes back as a clean row: name, brand, pack size, price, MRP, discount, stock, rating, product link and image.

> **Need more than Zepto?** Our **[Quick Commerce & E-commerce Price Scraper](https://apify.com/quickcommerceapi/quickcommerce-prices)** covers 18 quick commerce and e-commerce apps in India and the UAE (Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, BigBasket, DMart, JioMart, Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Noon Minutes, talabat mart and more) in one run, plus delivery-time checks, at the same prices.

### What it does

- 🔎 **Search Zepto** for any number of queries. Results keep Zepto's own ranking (`rank`), and `resultsCount` shows how many products it returned.
- 📍 **Location-aware.** Prices and stock follow the Zepto store serving the latitude and longitude you set.
- 📊 **Flat output** in INR, ready for CSV, Excel, JSON or Google Sheets.
- ⏱️ **Live data.** Every run reads current prices; schedule it hourly or daily for history.

### How to use it

1. Add one or more **search queries**.
2. Set the delivery **latitude and longitude**.
3. Click **Start**, then download the results as CSV, Excel or JSON, or use the API.

### Example input

Search:

```json
{
    "queries": [
        "milk"
    ],
    "latitude": 12.9021,
    "longitude": 77.6639,
    "maxResultsPerPlatform": 20
}
```

### Output

Each row has the same columns, so runs can share one spreadsheet:

| Column | What it holds |
| --- | --- |
| `status` | `ok`, `no_results`, `not_found` or `error` |
| `query` / `productId` | The search query, or the item ID |
| `name`, `brand`, `quantity` | Product name, brand and pack size |
| `price`, `mrp`, `discountPercent`, `currency` | Selling price, MRP and discount, in INR |
| `available`, `inventory` | In stock, and units left where shared |
| `rank`, `resultsCount` | Position in the search results, and how many came back |
| `url`, `imageUrl`, `rating`, `ratingCount` | Product link, image and ratings |
| `latitude`, `longitude`, `pincode`, `scrapedAt` | Where and when it was fetched |

### Pricing

Pay-per-event: you pay for the data you get, not for compute time, and there's no start fee.

| Event | When it's charged | Price |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `search-result` | Once per product row returned | $0.00099 |

Examples:

- 1 query, 20 products: **$0.02**.
- 100 queries, 10 products each: 1,000 results = **$0.99**.

Not charged: failed requests, searches with no results, item IDs that aren't found, and resolving product links to IDs. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options and the Actor stops cleanly before going over it.

### FAQ

**Which locations does it cover?**
Anywhere Zepto delivers. Pass the latitude and longitude of the area; results match what the app shows there.

**How fresh is the data?**
Live. Every run fetches current prices and stock at request time.

**Do I need proxies or a browser?**
No. The Actor calls a maintained API, so it needs little memory and no proxies.

**Is this an official Zepto product?**
No. This Actor is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Zepto. Zepto is a trademark of its owner. The Actor returns publicly visible product information and collects no personal data; check that your use complies with applicable laws and the store's terms.

**Something looks wrong, or need another store?**
Open an issue on the Issues tab with the run ID, or email connect@quickcompare.in, and we'll take a look.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

What to search for on Zepto, one query per line. Specific queries (brand + pack size) find the product you want in the first few rows.

## `latitude` (type: `number`):

Delivery location latitude. Prices and stock follow the nearest Zepto store. Example: 12.9021 (Bengaluru).

## `longitude` (type: `number`):

Delivery location longitude. Example: 77.6639 (Bengaluru).

## `pincode` (type: `string`):

6-digit PIN code of the delivery location (optional).

## `maxResultsPerPlatform` (type: `integer`):

Keep at most this many products per query, in Zepto's own ranking order. Search is charged per product, so this also caps the cost.
