## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 changed variants

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Price & Stock Monitor – price drops, restocks & new products

**Shopify Price & Stock Monitor** tracks the public product catalogue of any Shopify store and reports what changed since your last run: **price drops, price increases, back in stock, out of stock, new products/variants and removed products**. Schedule it daily to get competitor price alerts, restock alerts or a deal feed – one compact item per changed variant.

- 🛍️ Works on any Shopify store that exposes the standard public `/products.json` catalogue (most do) – also scoped to a single **collection** URL
- 🔔 **Only changes mode** – remembers price and availability for every variant in a named key-value store
- 📉 Previous price, % change, compare-at price and discount %, currency (from the store's public `meta.json`)
- 🎚️ Filter change types and ignore small price moves (`minPriceChangePct`)
- No login, no API keys, no browser, no proxies needed for normal use

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `storeUrls` | Store homepages or collection URLs. Empty = demo (`https://www.allbirds.com`). |
| `onlyChanges` | Output only changed / new / removed variants (default **on**). Off = full catalogue each run, labelled. |
| `outputBaseline` | First run of a store outputs all variants as `new` (default on). Turn off to record silently. |
| `changeTypes` | Any of `new`, `price_drop`, `price_increase`, `back_in_stock`, `out_of_stock`, `removed`. |
| `minPriceChangePct` | Ignore price changes below this % (default 0). |
| `maxProductsPerStore` | Default 2,000 products (each can have many variants). |
| `stateStoreName` | Named key-value store with the previous prices – use one name per monitor. |

```json
{
  "storeUrls": ["https://www.allbirds.com", "https://shop.example.com/collections/sale"],
  "onlyChanges": true,
  "changeTypes": ["price_drop", "back_in_stock"],
  "minPriceChangePct": 5
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "store": "https://www.allbirds.com",
  "productId": "7340901859408",
  "variantId": "42146889039952",
  "productTitle": "Women's Allbirds Flip Flop - Dusty Pink",
  "variantTitle": "5",
  "vendor": "Allbirds",
  "productType": "Shoes",
  "sku": "A12513W050",
  "url": "https://www.allbirds.com/products/womens-allbirds-flip-flop-dusty-pink?variant=42146889039952",
  "imageUrl": "https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1104/4168/files/A12513_26Q2_Allbirds-Flip-Flop-Dusty-Pink_PDP_LEFT.png",
  "currency": "USD",
  "price": 40,
  "compareAtPrice": 50,
  "discountPct": 20,
  "available": true,
  "productUpdatedAt": "2026-11-02T09:39:36-08:00",
  "changeType": "price_drop",
  "previousPrice": 50,
  "priceChangePct": -20,
  "previousAvailable": true,
  "isBaseline": false,
  "detectedAt": "2026-11-03T08:00:00.000Z"
}
```

If both stock and price change in the same run, the stock change (`back_in_stock` / `out_of_stock`) is used as `changeType`; `previousPrice` and `priceChangePct` still show the price move. A `RUN_SUMMARY` record lists per-store counts.

### Use cases

- **Competitor price monitoring** for e-commerce brands and agencies
- **Restock alerts** for limited drops (sneakers, collectibles, supplements…)
- **Deal feeds** – price drops into Slack, Discord, email or Google Sheets via Apify integrations
- **Assortment tracking** – new and discontinued products of competitors
- **Market research** – price history built from scheduled runs

### Limitations

- Requires the store's public `/products.json` (some stores disable or password-protect it; those return an error in the run summary).
- Availability is Shopify's public `available` flag (in stock or not); exact inventory quantities are not public.
- Prices are the store's default-market prices; local-currency/market-specific prices and customer-specific discounts are not shown.
- Very large stores: Shopify serves 250 products per page; raise `maxProductsPerStore` for catalogues above 2,000 products.

### Legal note

The Actor reads only **publicly available product catalogue data** (product names, prices, availability) that the store publishes to all visitors; it collects no personal data and does not log in or bypass any protection. Keep request rates polite and check each store's terms of service before commercial use.

# Actor input Schema

## `storeUrls` (type: `array`):

Store homepages, e.g. `https://www.allbirds.com`, or a collection URL such as `https://shop.example.com/collections/sale` to watch only that collection. The store must expose Shopify's public `/products.json`. If empty, a demo store is used.

## `onlyChanges` (type: `boolean`):

Output only variants whose price or stock changed (plus new and removed ones) since the previous run of the same store, remembered in the named key-value store below. The first run of a store is a baseline and outputs all variants as `new` with `isBaseline: true`. Turn off to output the full catalogue every run (with change labels).

## `outputBaseline` (type: `boolean`):

Turn off to record the first run silently, so you only ever receive real changes.

## `changeTypes` (type: `array`):

Which changes to output when 'Only output changes' is on.

## `minPriceChangePct` (type: `integer`):

Ignore price changes smaller than this percentage (0 = report every change).

## `maxProductsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many products per store (each product can have several variants). When the limit is hit, removed-product detection is skipped for that store.

## `stateStoreName` (type: `string`):

Name of the key-value store that remembers prices and stock between runs. Use a different name for separate monitors.

## `requestDelayMs` (type: `integer`):

Polite pause between catalogue pages (250 products each).

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):
