## Pricing

from $2.24 / 1,000 photos

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Etsy Listing Photo Attribute Scraper

Read **style, color, and material from Etsy listing photos**. Product research teams use it when the seller left materials blank and the photo is the only place the item is described.

Paste a public listing URL such as `https://www.etsy.com/listing/786090892/refillable-personalized-leather-journal`. Each photo becomes one dataset row. No Etsy login is required.

### What can this Etsy photo scraper do?

- Open a public Etsy listing page.
- Collect the listing photos.
- Name the product type, dominant color, visible material, and style.
- Record an occasion only when the photo makes it obvious.
- Transcribe text printed on the item.
- Cap photos per listing with `maxItems`.
- Export JSON, CSV, or Excel and schedule a repeat through Apify.

`maxItems` counts photos per listing URL. A material is saved only when it is visible. The Actor does not guess a brand.

### What data can you extract?

| Field | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| imageUrl | Photo that was read |
| productType | What the item is |
| primaryColor | Dominant color |
| material | Material visible in the photo |
| style | Visual style, such as floral or minimal |
| occasion | Occasion when the photo makes it obvious |
| textOnImage | Text printed on the item |
| listingTitle | Title on the listing page |
| listingId | Etsy listing id |
| listingUrl | Listing page you provided |

### How to read Etsy listing photos

1. Open the listing on Etsy and copy the URL. It should contain `/listing/` and a numeric id.
2. Paste it into **Start URLs**. Add more listings if you want a set.
3. Set **Maximum images**. The default is 3 so a test stays small.
4. Start the run and download the dataset.

If the listing page comes back without photos, that URL is retried and then skipped. Turn on a proxy in the input when Etsy blocks the run.

### Use cases

- Tag color and material for a set of listings.
- See which styles show up for a search you already collected.
- Read text printed on a custom item.
- Sample three photos before a full gallery pass.
- Compare two sellers' hero images.
- Build a sheet of listing ids beside product type.
- Watch one listing on a schedule.
- Hand rows to a merchandising workbook.
- Separate jewelry photos from apparel photos.
- Note when a photo does not show the material the title claims.

### Pricing

Platform usage is included.

| Charge | Free plan |
| --- | --- |
| Actor start | $0.00005 |
| Listing with a reading | $1.99 per 1,000 listings |
| Photo classified | $2.99 per 1,000 photos |

Paid plans are cheaper. Keep `maxItems` small while you test.

### FAQ

**Does this need an Etsy login?** No. Public listing pages are enough.

**Why did my URL get skipped?** The link must be an `etsy.com/listing/` URL with a numeric id.

**Why is material null?** The photo does not show a material clearly enough to name one.
