## Pricing

from $1.11 / 1,000 search result scrapeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

### What does Qwant Search Scraper do?

**Qwant Search Scraper** extracts **public organic web results** from [Qwant](https://www.qwant.com/) (`qwant.com`). Paste a web search URL and export **rank, title, result URL, display URL, snippet, and query metadata**.

No Qwant account and no coding. Run it on the **Apify platform** to schedule crawls, export JSON, CSV, or Excel, and pull results through the API.

### Why scrape Qwant search results?

Qwant is a **European privacy-oriented search engine** with its own ranking and snippet mix. SEO teams, agencies, and researchers use it to see how a query looks outside Google and Bing.

- **Privacy SERP tracking** — Store organic ranks for branded and non-branded queries on Qwant.
- **Share-of-voice** — Compare which domains appear for a keyword on a privacy search engine.
- **Snippet research** — Capture titles and descriptions Qwant actually shows.
- **Engine comparison** — Check how Qwant results differ from Google or Bing.
- **Content gaps** — Find pages that rank on Qwant but not in your own list.
- **Monitoring** — Schedule the Actor and diff datasets over time.
- **Reporting** — Feed rank, URL, and snippet into Sheets, Looker, or a rank-tracking warehouse.

### How to scrape Qwant Search

1. Open **Qwant Search Scraper** in Apify Console.
2. Add one or more start URLs. The default is `https://www.qwant.com/?q=paris&t=web`.
3. Set **Maximum items** (results per start URL). Use a small number for a test, then raise it for a full export.
4. Run the Actor and download the dataset as JSON, CSV, Excel, or HTML.

Copy the URL from Qwant after you type a query on the **Web** tab (`t=web`) and paste it into **Start URLs**.

### What data can you extract from Qwant Search?

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| position | Organic rank in the run for that start URL |
| title | Result title |
| url | Destination URL |
| displayUrl | Visible breadcrumb / display URL |
| snippet | Result description |
| imageUrl | Result thumbnail when Qwant shows one (often null for web results) |
| query | Search query from the start URL |
| page | Result page number |
| searchUrl | Start URL that produced the row |
| scrapedAt | Time the row was scraped (ISO 8601) |

### How much does it cost to scrape Qwant Search?

The Actor opens the public Qwant results page in a real browser (results are rendered client-side). You pay for each result saved to the dataset (pay per result), plus compute for the short browser run. A test with the default maximum of 5 results usually finishes in well under a minute.

You can schedule runs, send results to Google Sheets or webhooks, and call the Actor through the Apify API. The same dataset is available as JSON, CSV, Excel, or HTML.

### Input

**Start URLs**, **Maximum items** (per start URL), and **proxy configuration**. See the Input tab for the form.

Supported start URLs:

- Search: `https://www.qwant.com/?q=paris&t=web`
- Other queries: `https://www.qwant.com/?q=privacy+search&t=web`

`maxItems` applies **per start URL**. Two queries with a maximum of 20 can return up to 40 results.

#### Proxy

Proxy is **off by default**. If a run reports that Qwant blocked it, enable Apify Proxy (RESIDENTIAL) in the proxy configuration and run again.

### Output

You can download the dataset extracted by Qwant Search Scraper in JSON, HTML, CSV, or Excel.

### FAQ

#### Is it legal to scrape Qwant Search?

This Actor collects **public search result cards** shown on Qwant web search. It does not log in and it does not collect account or private mailbox data. Use the data only when you have a legitimate reason, and get advice if you are unsure.

#### Do I need a Qwant account?

No. The Actor reads public search results only.

#### Why are some snippets empty?

Qwant does not always show a description for every result. Empty snippet fields are expected for those rows.

#### Can I export more than one page?

Yes. Raise **Maximum items** above 10. The Actor loads more results the same way **Display more results** does on Qwant, until it reaches the limit or Qwant has no more organic results. Qwant often shows only 10–20 organic web results per query (later pages are mostly news, videos, and related searches), so large limits may return fewer rows.

#### Why did my run return no results?

Qwant’s bot protection blocked the run. Try again, or enable Apify Proxy (RESIDENTIAL) in the proxy configuration.

#### Where can I get help?

Open the **Issues** tab on the Actor page if a URL returns nothing or a field looks wrong.

Qwant web search result URLs (https://www.qwant.com/?q=...\&t=web).
