## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store Scraper: Search Rankings, App Details, Top Charts

Get data from the Apple App Store for any country: **keyword search rankings**, **full app details**, **all apps of a developer** and the **Top Free / Top Paid charts**. Ratings, rating counts, price, current version and release notes, release dates, size, languages, age rating, categories, icon and screenshots, in one clean row per app.

It uses Apple's own public App Store APIs (iTunes Search and Lookup, and the Apple Marketing Tools charts feed), so the data is official and runs need no browser and no proxies.

### What you can do with it

- **ASO keyword tracking**: run your keywords daily in several countries and track your app's `rank` against competitors.
- **Competitor monitoring**: ratings, rating counts, versions and release notes of competing apps over time.
- **Market research**: the top 100 free and paid apps per country with their categories, prices and ratings.
- **Lead generation for app services**: all apps of a developer, with seller name and website.
- **Localization checks**: compare an app's details across App Store countries.

### Input

```json
{
    "searchTerms": ["habit tracker", "budget app"],
    "apps": ["https://apps.apple.com/us/app/notion-notes-tasks-ai/id1232780281", "com.burbn.instagram"],
    "topCharts": ["top-free"],
    "countries": ["us", "gb", "de"],
    "maxResultsPerSearch": 50,
    "chartSize": 100
}
```

- **Search terms**: apps in App Store search order; the `rank` field is the position.
- **Apps or developers**: App Store links, numeric IDs, bundle IDs, or developer links (returns all their apps).
- **Top charts**: Top Free and/or Top Paid, up to 100 apps each.
- **Countries**: every search, app and chart is scraped for each country.

### Output

### Pricing

$1.00 per 1,000 apps. Inputs that cannot be found are reported with an `error` field and are not charged.

### Notes

- Apple limits how fast one IP can query its API; the Actor paces itself and retries, so large runs take a little longer instead of failing.
- Customer reviews are not included: Apple's public review feed no longer returns reviews for most apps.
- Search results can differ slightly from what a signed-in iPhone shows, because personalization is not applied.

### Disclaimer

This Actor is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple. It only collects publicly available data; make sure your use complies with the applicable terms and laws.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

Apps that the App Store search returns for each term, in ranking order (field rank). Great for ASO keyword tracking.

## `apps` (type: `array`):

App Store links (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/notion/id1232780281), numeric app IDs, bundle IDs (notion.id) or developer links (all apps of the developer).

## `topCharts` (type: `array`):

Also scrape these charts.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Two-letter App Store country codes, for example "us", "gb", "de", "tr". Every search, app and chart is scraped for each country.

## `maxResultsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

How many apps to return per search term (up to 200).

## `chartSize` (type: `integer`):

How many apps to return per chart (up to 100).

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many searches, apps and charts are processed in parallel.
