## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Luma & Eventbrite Events Scraper: Hosts, Tickets, Venues

Get upcoming events from **Luma (lu.ma)** and **Eventbrite** in one clean format: name, start and end time, venue and full address, coordinates, ticket prices, free / sold-out status, organizer with website and social links, and on Luma every **host** with their X, LinkedIn, Instagram and website.

Paste the links you already use: a Luma city page, a Luma calendar or community, an Eventbrite search, or single event pages. No login, no browser, no proxies.

### What you can do with it

- **Lead generation**: hosts and organizers of tech, AI, startup and crypto events, with their websites and social profiles.
- **Event discovery and newsletters**: every upcoming event in a city, ready for a weekly digest or a Slack channel.
- **Sponsorship and community research**: which companies host events, how often, and how many guests they draw.
- **Market and pricing research**: ticket prices and sold-out events per city or topic.

### Input

```json
{
    "startUrls": [
        "https://lu.ma/sf",
        "https://lu.ma/getsentry",
        "https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ai-and-me-the-entrepreneur-tickets-2003965655220"
    ],
    "maxEventsPerUrl": 200
}
```

- **Luma city pages**: `https://lu.ma/sf`, `https://lu.ma/nyc`, `https://lu.ma/london`, `https://lu.ma/istanbul` and the other cities on [lu.ma/discover](https://lu.ma/discover).
- **Luma calendars**: the page of any community or company calendar, for example `https://lu.ma/getsentry`.
- **Eventbrite searches**: search on Eventbrite (city + keyword, filters) and paste the link, for example `https://www.eventbrite.com/d/united-kingdom--london/networking/`.
- **Single events** from both sites.
- **Max events per link**: upcoming events first; 0 means all.

### Pricing

$1.50 per 1,000 events. Links that fail or have no events are reported with an `error` field and are not charged.

### Notes

- `startAt` is UTC on Luma and local time (see `timezone`) on Eventbrite, exactly as each site publishes it.
- Some Luma events hide the exact address until you register; `city` and `region` are still filled.
- Luma topic pages (such as lu.ma/ai) are personalized by location and are not supported; use a city or calendar link.
- Guest lists and attendee contact details are not collected.

### Disclaimer

This Actor is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Luma or Eventbrite. It only collects publicly available data; make sure your use complies with the applicable terms and laws.
