## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Products Scraper: Prices, Variants, Stock

Get every product of any Shopify store, or of one collection: title, vendor, type, tags, **prices and sale prices**, **every variant with SKU and stock flag**, options, images and the description as plain text. Point it at competitors for price monitoring, at suppliers for catalog import, or at a niche for product research.

It reads the public product feed that every Shopify storefront serves (`/products.json`), 250 products per request, so it is fast: in our tests 746 products from three stores took under 4 seconds. No browser, no login.

### What you can do with it

- **Competitor price monitoring**: schedule it daily and compare `priceMin`, `priceMax`, `onSale` and `available`.
- **Dropshipping and product research**: full catalogs with images, vendors and tags.
- **Catalog migration or import**: variants with SKUs, prices and options.
- **Sale and stock alerts**: use *Only products on sale* or *Only products in stock*.

### Pricing

$1.00 per 1,000 products. Stores that are not Shopify (or have the feed disabled) are reported with an `error` field and are not charged.

### Limits

- Works with Shopify stores whose public product feed is enabled (almost all of them). Password-protected stores are not accessible.
- Stock is a per-variant in-stock flag; exact inventory quantities are not public.
- Prices are in the store's default currency (`currency`).

# Actor input Schema

## `stores` (type: `array`):

One per line: a Shopify store domain or URL (allbirds.com), or a collection URL (https://www.allbirds.com/collections/mens) to get only that collection.

## `maxProductsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many products per store. 0 means all.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Only products whose title contains any of these words (case-insensitive).

## `onlyAvailable` (type: `boolean`):

Skip products with no available variant.

## `onlyOnSale` (type: `boolean`):

Only products with a variant priced below its compare-at price.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed for most runs: the data comes from public endpoints. Turn on Apify Proxy if you see rate limits on very large runs.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many stores are processed in parallel.

  "onlyAvailable": false,
  "onlyOnSale": false,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  },
  "maxConcurrency": 5
}
```
