## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## YouTube Channel Videos Feed (New Uploads Monitor)

Get the latest videos of any YouTube channel or playlist: title, description, publish time, **views**, **likes** and thumbnail. Built for monitoring: schedule it with **Only new videos** and every new upload arrives once, ready for Slack, email, Google Sheets, Make, Zapier, n8n or your AI agent.

It reads YouTube's own public RSS feeds, so there is no API key, no quota, no browser and no proxy: in our tests 4 channels and a playlist (55 videos) took under 2 seconds.

### What you can do with it

- **New video alerts** for competitor, news or creator channels (hourly or daily schedule + *Only new videos*).
- **Content pipelines**: trigger transcription, summarization or social posting when a channel uploads.
- **Track early performance**: views and likes of the newest uploads at each run.
- **Playlist monitoring**: new items in any public playlist.

### Input

```json
{
    "channels": ["https://www.youtube.com/@mkbhd", "@LinusTechTips", "UC-lHJZR3Gqxm24_Vd_AJ5Yw", "https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBCF2DAC6FFB574DE"],
    "onlyNewVideos": true,
    "publishedWithinDays": 7,
    "titleKeywords": ["review"]
}
```

Channels can be given as links (`/@handle`, `/channel/UC...`, `/c/...`, `/user/...`), @handles or channel IDs; playlists as links or IDs.

### Output

One row per video, newest first:

```json
{
    "input": "https://www.youtube.com/@mkbhd",
    "channelId": "UCBJycsmduvYEL83R_U4JriQ",
    "channelTitle": "Marques Brownlee",
    "channelUrl": "https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBJycsmduvYEL83R_U4JriQ",
    "playlistId": null,
    "videoId": "2reQut8WNGc",
    "url": "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2reQut8WNGc",
    "title": "Macbook PROLED XDR Impressions: They Said They Wouldn't!",
    "description": "The first touchscreen Mac is here, and I have thoughts.\n\nMKBHD Merch:...",
    "publishedAt": "2026-10-29T02:50:34+00:00",
    "updatedAt": "2026-11-01T09:28:01+00:00",
    "thumbnail": "https://i3.ytimg.com/vi/2reQut8WNGc/hqdefault.jpg",
    "views": 10314554,
    "likes": 131859,
    "videoChannelId": "UCBJycsmduvYEL83R_U4JriQ",
    "videoChannelTitle": "Marques Brownlee",
    "scrapedAt": "2026-11-01T09:52:10+00:00"
}
```

### Pricing

$0.50 per 1,000 videos. Channels that cannot be found are reported with an `error` field and are not charged. With *Only new videos* you pay only for new uploads.

### Limits

- YouTube's feeds contain the **15 most recent videos** of a channel (including Shorts and finished live streams). For the full upload history use a full channel scraper; for monitoring, 15 is plenty when the Actor runs on a schedule.
- Views and likes are the values at scrape time.

### Disclaimer

# Actor input Schema

## `channels` (type: `array`):

One per line: channel links (https://www.youtube.com/@mkbhd, /channel/UC..., /c/..., /user/...), @handles, channel IDs (UC...), or playlist links and IDs.

## `onlyNewVideos` (type: `boolean`):

Return only videos not returned by a previous run (remembered per channel in a named key-value store). The first run returns the current feed.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):
