## Pricing

from $1.80 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TED Tenders API: EU Public Procurement Search

**TED Tenders API** searches European public-procurement notices on **TED (Tenders Electronic Daily)** through TED's **official Search API**. Filter by keyword, CPV code, buyer country, value, procedure and tender deadline, then export open tenders and award notices as JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull them through the Apify API.

There is no HTML scraping, no browser, no proxy, no login and no API key. The Actor sends structured requests to `api.ted.europa.eu`, so runs are fast and cheap, and the data is the same that TED publishes.

### Why use this TED scraper?

- **Official API, not page scraping.** Fewer breakages when the TED website changes layout.
- **Guided filters or full expert queries.** Use simple inputs (keywords, countries, CPV, value, deadline), or paste a native TED expert-search expression.
- **Tenders and awards.** The `awards` preset adds winner names and awarded values.
- **CRM-ready output.** Readable `title`, `buyerNameDisplay`, numeric `estimatedValue`, `daysUntilDeadline`, direct TED, PDF and XML links, plus the untouched TED response in `raw`.
- **Multilingual notices handled.** Pick your preferred languages; the original multilingual values are always kept.
- **Predictable cost.** `maxItems` defaults to 1,000 so a forgotten empty filter cannot turn into an all-history run.
- **Privacy by design.** Contact and personal fields (emails, phones, persons, streets) are blocked.
- **Reproducible runs.** Each run stores the exact query, a query hash and progress records in the key-value store.

### Use cases

- Daily alerts of new open tenders in your sector (CPV) and countries.
- Competitor and buyer tracking: who buys what, how often and for how much.
- Award analysis: who wins contracts, at what value, under which procedure.
- Market sizing and procurement dashboards in BI tools.
- Feeding lead lists, CRMs or AI agents with public tender data.

### How to use

1. Open the Actor and click **Start** to test the prefilled input (10 open Spanish software tenders).
2. Adjust keywords, buyer countries, CPV codes, dates, notice types or value range.
3. Choose **Output fields**: `opportunities` (default) or `awards`.
4. Set **Maximum notices** to the volume you need.
5. Download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or call it from your own code, Make, Zapier, n8n or an MCP client.

### Input example

```json
{
  "freeText": "software",
  "buyerCountry": ["ESP"],
  "cpvCodes": ["72000000"],
  "onlyOpenDeadlines": true,
  "maxItems": 10
}
```

Expert query alternative (multiple values are separated by spaces):

```json
{
  "expertQuery": "FT=\"cloud\" AND buyer-country IN (ESP FRA) AND publication-date>=20261001",
  "maxItems": 50
}
```

Leaving all filters empty returns notices published in the last 7 days.

### Output example

Shortened; `raw` (the full TED projection) is also included in every item.

```json
{
  "source": "ted",
  "publicationNumber": "599896-2026",
  "title": "Servicios de mantenimiento de aplicaciones",
  "buyerNameDisplay": "Servicio Andaluz de Salud. Servicios Centrales",
  "buyerCountry": ["ESP"],
  "noticeType": "can-standard",
  "publicationDate": "2026-09-01+02:00",
  "classificationCpv": ["72222300"],
  "contractNature": ["services"],
  "procedureType": "neg-wo-call",
  "estimatedValue": 3442500,
  "estimatedCurrency": "EUR",
  "daysUntilDeadline": null,
  "tedUrl": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/-/detail/599896-2026",
  "pdfUrl": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/599896-2026/pdf",
  "xmlUrl": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/599896-2026/xml",
  "queryHash": "...",
  "retrievedAt": "2026-10-10T08:00:00+00:00"
}
```

### Output fields

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `publicationNumber`, `noticeIdentifier`, `procedureIdentifier` | TED identifiers |
| `title`, `noticeTitle` | Readable title in your preferred language, and the raw multilingual title |
| `description` | Procedure or lot description, when TED returns it |
| `buyerNameDisplay`, `buyerName`, `buyerCountry` | Contracting authority and country |
| `noticeType`, `noticeSubtype`, `formType`, `procedureType`, `contractNature`, `legalBasis` | Notice and procedure classification |
| `classificationCpv` | CPV codes |
| `placeOfPerformance` | NUTS / country codes |
| `estimatedValue`, `estimatedCurrency` | Estimated procedure value, when published |
| `tenderDeadline`, `daysUntilDeadline` | Lot deadline(s) and days left (first deadline) |
| `documentUrls` | Tender document URLs, when published |
| `tedUrl`, `pdfUrl`, `xmlUrl` | Official TED links |
| `details` | Lot-level values (only with Include lot details) |
| `raw`, `queryHash`, `retrievedAt` | Source projection, query fingerprint, retrieval time |

Awards preset adds result fields (winner, awarded value, selection status) inside `raw`. Not every notice has every field; TED only returns what the buyer published.

### Pricing

Pay per result (Pay-per-event, one event per notice saved to the dataset). Platform usage is included.

| Plan | Price per 1,000 notices |
|---|---|
| Free | $3.00 |
| Bronze | $2.60 |
| Silver | $2.20 |
| Gold | $1.80 |

Example: 5,000 notices on the Free plan cost about $15. Use **Maximum notices** to cap spend; the Actor stops cleanly when your maximum charge is reached.

### FAQ

**Is it legal to use TED data?**
TED is the EU's public procurement journal and its data is published for reuse. This Actor uses TED's public API and excludes personal contact fields. You remain responsible for complying with TED's terms and with data-protection law in your use.

**Do I need an API key or proxy?**
No.

**How many results can I get?**
Up to your `maxItems`. Set `0` for no limit (full backfill). Large backfills are better split by publication date ranges.

**How often should I run it?**
For tender alerts, daily with `publicationDateFrom` set to yesterday. TED publishes new notices every working day.

**Why is some data empty?**
TED returns only fields the notice contains. Values and deadlines depend on the notice type; prior-information and award notices often have no deadline.

**The run says the query timed out.**
Narrow the date range or lower the page size and run again.

**Can I connect it to other tools?**
Yes: Apify API, webhooks, Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets and Apify's MCP server.
