## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ERA Portugal Properties and Details Scraper

This Actor is gated because ERA Portugal's [Website Terms](https://www.era.pt/condicoes-gerais#condicoesdeutilizacaodowebsite) do not establish permission for automated listing collection and storage. The terms restrict copying and reproduction and require express authorization for site elements. No applicable authorization is recorded. The `authorizationConfirmed` input defaults to `false`; it is an operator attestation and does not grant permission.

If applicable permission is confirmed by the operator, the Actor opens the selected `www.era.pt` search page, obtains the page's anti-forgery token and session cookie, and calls the same `Property/Search` service used by the page. Requests are restricted to HTTPS `www.era.pt` search pages and redirects are refused. It does not log in, submit inquiries, access private data, or bypass an access control.

### Input

Set `authorizationConfirmed` only after reviewing the terms and confirming allowed use. Use `sourceUrl` with `https://www.era.pt/comprar` or `https://www.era.pt/arrendar`. `businessTypeIds`, `propertyTypeIds`, `searchText`, `page`, `order`, and `maxItems` bound the search. The default URL is retained for convenience, but no source request is made while the confirmation is false.

### Output

Dataset items contain only validated ERA property records with a positive listing ID, official listing and search URLs, a title, a scrape time, and at least one substantive property fact. Diagnostics and failure details are kept in `OUTPUT_SUMMARY`, never in the dataset. Missing source values are omitted rather than invented. The summary reports `SUCCEEDED/COMPLETED` for clean bounded or empty results, `FAILED/FAILED` with a nonzero native exit when no real row was saved before a failure, and `SUCCEEDED/PARTIAL` with a successful exit when real rows were saved before later failures. The terms gate reports `SUCCEEDED/SKIPPED_POLICY` with zero requests and dataset rows.

### Local development

```bash
npm test
npm run lint
apify validate-schema .actor/input_schema.json
```

Tests are offline and use mocked responses. Do not use `--purge` or run against the existing default storage; it contains one historical property row and a reconciled summary. No source request or live Actor run was made during the current audit.

# Actor input Schema

Required before any source request. Review ERA Portugal's current Website Terms at https://www.era.pt/condicoes-gerais#condicoesdeutilizacaodowebsite and confirm this collection and storage are permitted or that required authorization is in place. This checkbox is an operator attestation only and does not grant permission.

## `businessTypeIds` (type: `array`):

ERA business type IDs used by the public search service.
