## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Guatecompras Public Tenders Scraper

Collect public procurement opportunities from Guatemala's official Guatecompras OCDS API. The Actor returns clean tender records for B2G sales, procurement monitoring, journalism, civic-tech dashboards, and spreadsheet workflows.

### English

#### What it does

- Reads public JSON from the official Guatecompras OCDS endpoint.
- Filters by country, category, keyword, status, year, month, and maximum results.
- Saves one normalized dataset item per tender.
- Omits contact points, emails, phones, tenderers, and suppliers to keep the output focused on procurement opportunities instead of personal data.

#### Input example

```json
{
  "country": "GT",
  "category": "goods",
  "keyword": "medicamento",
  "year": 2026,
  "month": 10,
  "status": "all",
  "maxResults": 25,
  "includeItems": true
}
```

#### Output example

```json
{
  "country": "GT",
  "countryName": "Guatemala",
  "source": "Guatemala - Ministerio de Finanzas Publicas, Guatecompras OCDS",
  "url": "https://www.guatecompras.gt/concursos/consultaConcurso.aspx?nog=32235291",
  "title": "Codigo IGSS 932 Paracetamol...",
  "status": "active",
  "statusDetails": "Vigente",
  "category": "goods",
  "procurementMethodDetails": "Compra Directa con Oferta Electronica...",
  "buyerName": "INSTITUTO GUATEMALTECO DE SEGURIDAD SOCIAL -IGSS-",
  "itemCount": 1,
  "items": [
    {
      "description": "Acetaminofen (paracetamol)",
      "classificationScheme": "UNSPSC",
      "classificationId": "51142001",
      "quantity": 2100,
      "unit": "Frasco gotero - 15 Mililitro(ml)"
    }
  ],
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-13T00:00:00.000Z"
}
```

#### Suggested pricing

Use pay-per-result pricing at **US$0.004 per tender** (US$4.00 per 1,000 results).

Estimated platform cost is low because the Actor uses the official JSON API, one request per second, and no browser. A 1,000-result run needs about 50 API pages. On a small Apify container this should normally stay well under US$0.50 in platform usage, leaving room for Jose's 80% creator share after execution costs.

```json
{
  "country": "GT",
  "category": "services",
  "keyword": "mantenimiento",
  "year": 2026,
  "month": 10,
  "status": "all",
  "maxResults": 25,
  "includeItems": true
}
```

#### Ejemplo de salida

```json
{
  "country": "GT",
  "countryName": "Guatemala",
  "procedureNumber": "GT-NOG-27391426",
  "title": "ARRENDAMIENTO DE RETROEXCAVADORA",
  "statusDetails": "Adjudicado",
  "category": "services",
  "buyerName": "MUNICIPALIDAD DE GUATEMALA, GUATEMALA",
  "valueAmount": 90000,
  "valueCurrency": "GTQ",
  "url": "https://www.guatecompras.gt/concursos/consultaConcurso.aspx?nog=27391426"
}
```

#### Precio sugerido

Modelo pay-per-result: **US$0.004 por licitación** (US$4.00 por 1,000 resultados).

El costo de ejecución debe ser bajo porque no usa navegador ni proxy. El Actor respeta un máximo de 1 pedido por segundo.
