## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Italian Hotels & Agriturismi Directory – Puglia & Veneto (Official Open Data)

**Every licensed accommodation business in Puglia and Veneto in one clean table: 7,400+ hotels, agriturismi and masserie, campsites, holiday villages, residences, hostels and mountain huts, each with phone, email, website, address, stars, rooms and the national CIN code.**

The data come straight from the official open data of **Regione Puglia** (Osservatorio DMS – ARET Pugliapromozione, refreshed every night) and **Regione del Veneto** (daily update), both under **CC BY 4.0**. There's no scraping, no proxies and no blocking: the Actor downloads the official registers on each run, keeps **businesses only**, filters them your way and returns one table with the same fields for both regions.

#### What does the Italian Hotels & Agriturismi Directory do?

- Downloads the **latest** official registers of accommodation (*strutture ricettive*) of Puglia and Veneto on every run.
- Keeps **only businesses**: family B\&Bs, non-business holiday homes and tourist rentals (*locazioni turistiche*) are never returned.
- Filters by **region, province, city, type and stars**, and can skip records without an email.
- Cleans the data: Title Case names and addresses, normalised emails, phones and websites, numeric stars, rooms and beds, coordinates checked against the region.
- Adds the **national CIN code** (*Codice Identificativo Nazionale*) and flags old regional codes and missing CINs.

#### Who is it for?

- **Hotel software and services**: PMS, channel managers, booking engines, revenue management, Wi-Fi and payments.
- **Hotel suppliers**: linen and laundry, food & beverage, furniture, cleaning, energy, amenities.
- **Tour operators, DMCs, wedding and event planners** looking for venues, masserie and agriturismi.
- **Researchers, journalists, consultants and public bodies**: hotels by stars, city or province, capacity (rooms and beds) per area.
- **CRM and data teams** matching the official CIN code to their records.

#### Use cases and input recipes

Result counts from a run on the official files of 29/10/2026.

| `ALL_BUSINESSES` | **9,766** | **7,320** | Everything in CORE **plus** business-run B\&Bs, business-run holiday apartments and guest rooms (*affittacamere*, Puglia) |

Counts as of 29/10/2026; they change slightly as the Regions update their files. In Veneto, B\&Bs are included only in `ALL_BUSINESSES` and only when their national CIN category is **B4** (business-run), flagged with `cinBusinessInferred: true`.

#### Export and integrations

Download results as **Excel, CSV, JSON, XML or HTML**, or connect them through the Apify API, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make and webhooks. **Schedule the Actor monthly** to keep your list in step with the regional registers.

#### Pricing

Pay per result: you pay only for the records returned. See the **Pricing** tab for the current rate. Use the filters and `maxItems` to control cost, since a small test run costs very little.

#### FAQ

**How many records are included?**
About 7,400 businesses with the default `CORE` scope (Puglia 2,490, Veneto 4,939) and about 17,100 with `ALL_BUSINESSES` (Puglia 9,766, Veneto 7,320), as of 29/10/2026.

**How fresh is the data?**
Each run downloads the current files: Puglia publishes every night, Veneto every day.

**Are private B\&Bs or holiday homes included?**
No. Family B\&Bs, non-business holiday homes, tourist rentals and any CIN marking private, non-business accommodation are always excluded. Business-run B\&Bs and apartments are returned only with `ALL_BUSINESSES`.

**What is the CIN?**
The *Codice Identificativo Nazionale*, the national ID every Italian accommodation must display. Some Puglia records still carry the old regional code (`cinIsNationalFormat: false`), and some Veneto records have no CIN yet (`cin: null`), because the code has not been assigned or entered in the regional file.

**Can I use the data commercially?**
Both datasets are released under CC BY 4.0, which allows commercial reuse with attribution (see *Source & licence*). If you send communications, the GDPR and anti-spam rules apply (see *Legal note*).

**Is it a scraper? Will it get blocked?**
No. It reads official open-data files, with no proxies and no login.

**Will more regions be added?**
Puglia and Veneto are the first two regions with a complete, openly licensed register. More regions may follow.

#### Limits

- Only **Puglia** and **Veneto**.
- No VAT number (P.IVA), prices, availability or reviews: the official registers don't include them.
- Coordinates only for Puglia, about half of the records; postal codes only for Veneto.
- Some structures publish no website or email; those fields are `null`. Use `onlyWithEmail: true` to skip records without email.
- Data quality (typos, outdated websites) reflects the official source.

#### Source & licence

Both datasets are released under **Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0)**, which allows commercial reuse with attribution. The data are filtered (businesses only) and reformatted. #### Legal note (GDPR) – usage notice

**Email addresses and phone numbers are the contacts of accommodation businesses. Anyone using them to send communications must comply with the GDPR and anti-spam rules.** Every output item carries the `source` attribution and a `usageNote` field.

The data are published by public authorities. If you use them for marketing, you are the data controller: respect GDPR, Art. 130 of the Italian Privacy Code (prior consent for unsolicited email marketing; phone marketing also subject to the Registro delle Opposizioni) and offer an easy opt-out. Many small structures use personal addresses (e.g. Gmail) – handle them as personal data.

- Due perimetri: `CORE` (predefinito: Puglia 2.490, Veneto 4.939) e `ALL_BUSINESSES` (Puglia 9.766, Veneto 7.320), che aggiunge B\&B, case vacanza e affittacamere gestiti in forma d'impresa.

#### Domande frequenti
