## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Airbnb Search Scraper Pro

Airbnb listings for any city, neighborhood or search URL, with the **real total for your dates, the nightly rate, discounts, rating, review count, Guest favorite badge, beds, baths, coordinates and photos.** **$2.00 per 1,000 listings.**

**Compared with tri_angle/airbnb-scraper** ($4 per 1,000 listings and $6 per 1,000 enriched on the free plan): this actor is half the price and returns the real stay total, nightly rate and every discount line. Your rating, review count, nightly price and Guest favorite filters run *before* anything is saved, so listings you filter out are never billed.

### Why use it

- **Prices you can use for comps.** Total for the stay, nightly rate, original price and each discount line (early booking, weekly, etc.).
- **Quality signals in one row.** Rating, review count, New listings flagged, Guest favorite badge.
- **Pay only for what you keep.** Set `minRating: 4.8` and `minReviews: 50` and the rest are free.
- **Fast and light.** No browser. A 50-listing run finishes in about 5 seconds.
- **Small default.** Prefilled to 10 listings so a test run costs about 2.5 cents.

### Input

| Field | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| `locationQueries` | list | Cities or areas as you type them on Airbnb, e.g. `Miami, FL`. |
| `searchUrls` | list | Optional airbnb.com/s/... URLs with your own map area and filters. |
| `maxItems` | number | Hard cap on listings saved. Default 10. |
| `checkIn` / `checkOut` | date | With dates you get the real stay total and nightly rate. |
| `adults` / `children` / `pets` | number | Guest count. Pets above 0 returns pet-friendly stays. |
| `currency` | text | USD, EUR, GBP and more. |
| `priceMin` / `priceMax` | number | Airbnb's own price filter. |
| `minBedrooms` / `minBeds` / `minBathrooms` | number | Airbnb's own room filters. |
| `entireHomeOnly` | boolean | Skip private and shared rooms. |
| `minRating` | text | Free filter, e.g. `4.8`. |
| `minReviews` | number | Free filter. |
| `maxNightlyPrice` | number | Free filter on the nightly rate. |
| `guestFavoriteOnly` | boolean | Free filter: only Guest favorite listings. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | proxy | Not needed for most runs. The actor switches to residential proxy itself if a page is blocked. |

### Pricing

Pay per event:

- **Actor start:** $0.005 per run
- **Listing saved:** $0.002 ($2.00 per 1,000 listings)

1,000 listings cost about $2.01. Filtered listings cost nothing.

### Use cases

- **Short-term rental investors:** pull comps for a market and compare nightly rates of Guest favorites against everyone else.
- **Hosts and property managers:** benchmark your price against nearby listings for the same dates.
- **Travel and deal sites:** find discounted, top-rated stays for specific dates.
- **Market researchers:** map supply, price and quality by neighborhood with coordinates.
- **AI agents and LLM pipelines:** clean JSON per listing, ready to analyze.

### FAQ

**How many listings can one search return?** Airbnb shows up to about 270 results per search. For a big city, add several neighborhoods to `locationQueries` or paste map-area search URLs. Duplicates across searches are removed for free.

**Do I need dates?** No, but with dates you get the real stay total, nightly rate and discounts for those dates.

**Why are bedrooms sometimes empty?** Airbnb only shows some room details on the search card. Beds and baths are present on most rows.

**Do I need a proxy?** Usually not. If Airbnb blocks a page, the actor retries through residential proxy on its own.

**Why is it so fast?** It reads Airbnb's search data directly instead of loading pages in a browser, so 50 listings take a few seconds.
