## Shopify Catalog Export

Exports structured product data (title, vendor, category, price, availability,
images, tags) from public Shopify storefronts via their standard
`products.json` endpoint — the same public API that AI shopping agents and
comparison tools already use.

### What it does

Give it a list of store domains. For each one it:

1. Checks `robots.txt` first. If `/products.json` is disallowed, the store is
   skipped and reported — never bypassed.
2. Fetches the public product feed.
3. Writes one dataset row per product: id, title, vendor, category, handle/URL,
   price, compare-at price, availability, variant count, image count, tags,
   created date.

Domains that are skipped (robots-disallowed, unreachable, or not a live
Shopify store) get a `status: skipped` row with the reason, and aren't charged.

### Status

**Not yet deployed to Apify Store.** Code is written and structured to Apify's
Python actor conventions, and the underlying fetch/robots-check logic is the
same code this project ran against 377 real stores during an earlier research
pass — but this specific actor packaging hasn't been built or run on the
Apify platform yet. Treat it as ready-to-deploy, not yet verified end-to-end
in that environment.

### Pricing model

Pay-per-event: one `store-exported` charge per domain that successfully
returns product data. Skipped domains aren't charged. Exact price per event
gets set in the Apify Console at publish time, not in code.
