## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## AI Video Viral Radar

**Find the AI-generated videos that are going viral right now, and see which AI video generator is behind them.**
Scans YouTube (videos + Shorts) and TikTok, keeps only videos that are *actually AI-generated* (not videos *about* AI), detects the tool used (**Higgsfield, Kling, Seedance, Veo, Dreamina, Grok Imagine**, Hailuo/MiniMax, Runway, Pika, Luma, OpenArt, Krea, Wan, Vidu, PixVerse, Midjourney…) and ranks everything with a cross-platform **viral score**.

### Why this actor?

- **AI-generated filter**: combines the platforms' own AI labels (YouTube "altered or synthetic content", TikTok AIGC), disclosures, hashtags and tool names, with anti-false-positive rules (a "runway" fashion show or "Pikachu" is not an AI tool).
- **AI tool detection**: 25+ generators recognized.
- **Viral score (0–100)**: views per hour, engagement and outlier ratio (views / followers), normalized per platform so YouTube and TikTok are comparable.
- **AI tool trends report**: which generator is rising this week (videos, views, median views/hour, share of last 7 days).
- Built-in residential proxy support (Apify Proxy), no login, no cookies.

### Use cases

Creators looking for viral AI formats, AI video agencies & brands doing trend watching, AI tool marketers tracking competitors, journalists and researchers.

### Input

Defaults work out of the box. Main options: platforms, YouTube queries, TikTok accounts to watch, max age, min views, min AI confidence, max videos returned. See the Input tab.

Key-value store: `TOOL_TRENDS` (AI tool trends), `RUN_STATS`, `RAW_ITEMS`.

### Pricing (pay per event)

- **$0.004 per video returned** ($4 per 1,000 videos)
- **$0.02 per AI tool trends report** (optional, once per run)
Proxy traffic is included. Set *Max videos returned* to cap your cost.

### FAQ

**Is it legal?** The actor only collects publicly available metadata (titles, counts, dates, public profiles). It does not log in, does not download videos and collects no private data. You are responsible for your use of the data (GDPR, platform terms of service). Contact us for removal requests.

**How accurate is the AI detection?** On our labeled test sets (Oct 2026): precision 1.0 and recall 0.88–1.0. Videos without any label, disclosure or tool mention can be missed; aiConfidence and aiReasons explain each decision.

**Why are some AI tools "not detected"?** Many creators don't name the tool. Tool detection only relies on explicit signals.

**Limits**: YouTube and TikTok may rate-limit; the actor uses residential proxies and returns what it could collect. Instagram and X are not enabled by default (X requires your own API token). Counts are snapshots at collection time.

# Actor input Schema

## `platforms` (type: `array`):

Platforms to scan: youtube, tiktok (free sources). 'x' needs your own X_BEARER_TOKEN env var.

## `queries` (type: `array`):

Keyword searches run on YouTube.

## `perQuery` (type: `integer`):

Videos fetched per YouTube query (before AI filtering; roughly half are kept). Leave empty: 8, scaled up with Max videos returned.

## `tiktokAccounts` (type: `array`):

Usernames (without @) of AI video creators to scan. Leave empty for the built-in list.

## `perAccount` (type: `integer`):

Videos per TikTok account. Leave empty: 8, scaled up with Max videos returned.

## `window` (type: `string`):

YouTube upload window.

## `maxAgeDays` (type: `integer`):

Max video age (days).

## `minViews` (type: `integer`):

Min views.

## `minAiConfidence` (type: `string`):

Threshold for 'AI-generated' classification.

## `includeTutorials` (type: `boolean`):

Include AI tutorials.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Each returned video is a billable event.

## `toolTrendsReport` (type: `boolean`):

Saves TOOL_TRENDS (which AI generator is rising) in the key-value store. Billed once per run.

## `useApifyProxy` (type: `boolean`):

Fallback only: requests go direct first and switch to Apify Proxy only when a platform blocks them.

## `apifyProxyGroups` (type: `array`):

Apify proxy groups.

## `proxyUrl` (type: `string`):

Optional http://user:pass@host:port, used only as a last resort after direct and Apify Proxy.

## `labelCheckTop` (type: `integer`):

Check platform AI labels on top N.

## `maxCollectSecs` (type: `integer`):

Time budget for collection (default 180 s, also capped at ~50% of the run timeout); results and report are always saved before the run ends.

## `youtubeConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Parallel YouTube metadata requests.
