## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## DOU.ua Jobs Scraper

Extract IT job vacancies from **jobs.dou.ua**, the main job board of the Ukrainian tech industry. Filter by category (Python, Java, QA, DevOps, Design, Marketing and 50+ more), keyword, city, remote and experience level. Get the title, company, salary, locations, remote flag, posting date and, optionally, the full vacancy text.

No login, no cookies and no proxies needed. It reads public listing pages and returns every vacancy in the category, not just the first 20.

### What you can use it for

- **Recruiters and outstaffing companies**: see who is hiring Ukrainian engineers, and for which stack.
- **Salary research**: collect published USD salary ranges by role and seniority.
- **Market analysis**: track hiring demand per technology and city over time.
- **Sales and lead generation**: companies hiring engineers are growing and buying tools and services.
- **Job aggregators**: add Ukrainian tech jobs to your feed.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `category` | DOU category, e.g. `Python`, `Front End`, `QA`, `DevOps`. Empty = all. |
| `search` | Optional keyword, e.g. `Django`, `Senior`. |
| `city` | Optional city as DOU spells it: `Київ`, `Львів`, `Харків`, `Дніпро`… |
| `remoteOnly` | Only remote vacancies. |
| `experience` | `0-1`, `1-3`, `3-5` or `5plus` years. |
| `includeDescription` | Also open each vacancy for its full text and exact date (slower). |
| `maxItems` | Maximum number of vacancies (default 100). |

```json
{ "category": "Python", "remoteOnly": true, "includeDescription": true, "maxItems": 300 }
```

### Output

```json
{
  "id": 376769,
  "title": "Forward Deployed Fullstack Engineer (React & Python)",
  "url": "https://jobs.dou.ua/companies/proxet/vacancies/376769/",
  "company": "Proxet",
  "companyUrl": "https://jobs.dou.ua/companies/proxet/vacancies/",
  "salary": "$3500–4500",
  "locations": "Київ, віддалено",
  "remote": true,
  "hot": false,
  "summary": "We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer…",
  "postedDate": "2026-10-15",
  "description": "About the role\nWe are looking for…"
}
```

`hot` marks promoted vacancies. `postedDate` is ISO (YYYY-MM-DD). Export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or use the API, Zapier, Make or Google Sheets.

### Pricing

Pay per result: **$2.50 per 1,000 vacancies**. No monthly fee.

### Tips

- Run it on a daily schedule and compare `id`s to get only new vacancies.
- Without `includeDescription`, a full category of a few hundred jobs takes a few seconds.
