## Changelog

### 0.5.4 (2026-10-26)

- Company website guess (`includeCompanyWebsite`) is stricter: it no longer accepts domain-for-sale or parked pages (including redirects to marketplaces such as GoDaddy or BrandBucket), `.gov`/`.edu` sites, social profiles, placeholder pages ("launching soon", a title that is just the domain), or redirects to an unrelated domain. Names shorter than 4 letters and property/project LLCs (real-estate or finance LLCs, numbered or place-named entities) are no longer guessed.
- New field `website_confidence`: `high` or `medium`. Weaker guesses are left blank instead of output.

### 0.5 (2026-10-26)

- README: removed superlatives. Form D is described as the primary public SEC record of US private fundraising (Regulation D).
- The investor filter is now labelled "Minimum investor count" (Form D reports a count of investors, not their names); the sort option reads "Investor count, highest first".
- `dateFrom`/`dateTo` accept months and years ("1 month", "6 months", "1 year"); "1 month" used to fail.
- Dates follow US Eastern time (EDGAR's calendar). When a relative range has no published EDGAR day yet (weekend, holiday, or before the evening release), the run uses the latest published day instead of returning 0 leads.
- Only new filings: later runs read from the day before the previous run onward, so filings a `maxResults` cap left out in older windows are not sold later as "new" (use a new state key to backfill).
- Related-person names no longer keep EDGAR placeholder punctuation ("--- Flat Footed Series GP LLC" is now "Flat Footed Series GP LLC").

### 0.4 (2026-10-26)

- `FUNDING_DROP` / `FUNDING_DROP_HTML` are now company-level only: no `executives` or any other person's name. Issuers whose name contains a related person's name are counted in the totals but not listed (`unlisted_person_named_issuers`).
- **Exclude pooled investment funds** now also drops holding vehicles that self-report an operating industry: Item 9 pooled-fund interests, Investment Company Act 3(c) exclusions, and names such as TopCo, HoldCo, Fund, SPV, Feeder, Blocker, "Series 10", "a series of", "Holdings, L.P." or "Capital XIX". New field `holding_vehicle_reason` explains the match (null for operating companies); `RUN_SUMMARY.filtered_holding_vehicles` counts them.

### 0.3 (2026-10-26)

- Renamed to **Startup Funding Tracker: SEC Form D**.
- `FUNDING_DROP` (JSON) and `FUNDING_DROP_HTML` (shareable page) records in every run: totals, top raises, counts by industry and state. Schedule weekly for a funding digest.
- Sort by amount sold, offering size, investors or newest (`sortBy`).
- New filters: minimum amount sold, minimum investors, and `issuerQuery` full-text search over company, people, city, state, street, industry and entity type (phrases, OR, exclusions).
- Optional `company_website` (SEC profile first, otherwise a verified domain match), with `website_source` and `tickers`.

### 0.2 and earlier

- Initial releases (not itemized here).
