## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Turo Car Rental Scraper 🚗

> **Unofficial.** This Actor is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, or in any
> way officially connected to Turo Inc. "Turo" is a trademark of its respective owner and
> is used here only to describe what this tool reads. It reads the same public search endpoint
> a browser does.

**Turo Car Rental Scraper** extracts structured vehicle rental listings from Turo for any geographical coordinates (latitude & longitude) across the United States and international markets.

### What does it do?

Extracts search results by location coordinates, filtering by vehicle make, vehicle type (SUV, Sedan, Truck, etc.), and daily rental price bounds. Results include direct vehicle details, daily pricing, host rating badges, and clickable **Google Maps location links**.

### Why use it?

- **Direct Google Maps Links:** Every result includes a verified clickable Google Maps link (`googleMapsUrl`) to inspect the pickup area immediately.
- **Structured vehicle attributes:** Make, model, year, vehicle type, daily price, currency, rating, completed trip counts, and star host status.
- **Zero browser overhead:** Fetches lightweight JSON directly using Python 3.14, staying strictly within a 512 MB memory footprint.
- **Host link on every car:** `hostId` and `hostUrl` (the host's public Turo page). Turo's search results carry no host name, so rows have none.

### How to use it

1. Provide `latitude` and `longitude` of your target rental area (e.g., `34.0549` and `-118.2426` for Los Angeles).
2. Optionally specify `makes` (e.g., `["Ford", "Tesla"]`), `types` (e.g., `["SUV"]`), and price filters (`minPrice`, `maxPrice`).
3. Run the Actor and download results as JSON, CSV, or Excel.

#### Input

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `latitude` | number | Target search latitude (e.g. 34.0549). Required. |
| `longitude` | number | Target search longitude (e.g. -118.2426). Required. |

### How much does it cost to scrape Turo?

Pay-per-event: **$0.001 per vehicle** saved to the dataset (**$1.00 per 1,000 vehicles**), plus **$0.0001** charged once when the run starts. No subscription. Only rows saved to the dataset are charged.

### Privacy & Compliance

This Actor reads only publicly accessible pages and returns the public data they show. It sends no login.

## `latitude` (type: `number`):

Latitude of the search centre, -90 to 90. Turo searches the area around this point.

## `longitude` (type: `number`):

Longitude of the search centre, -180 to 180.

## `makes` (type: `array`):

Only return these car makes, e.g. Ford. Leave empty for all makes.
