## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## UK Tenders Scraper: Contracts Finder & Find a Tender Alerts

**One feed for every UK public-sector tender.** Get daily alerts for new opportunities in your CPV codes from **both** Contracts Finder and Find a Tender, including Procurement Act 2023 notices. Plus, see who won what. Data comes from the official OCDS APIs under the Open Government Licence.

**Use it to:**

- 🔔 **Get daily tender alerts for SMEs.** For example, `stages: ["tender"]`, `cpvPrefixes: ["72"]`, `smeOnly: true`.
- 🏗️ **Track public work for construction and FM firms** worth at least £100k (`minValue`).
- 🏆 **Watch competitor awards** with `stages: ["award"]` and keywords.
- 🤝 **Help bid writers and consultants** with one State key per client.

**Why this Actor:**

- It merges both portals into one feed.
- It only returns notices it hasn't returned before.
- It removes contact-person details and email addresses.

### Example inputs

Open tenders in IT services (CPV 72) and software (CPV 48) from the last 2 days:

```json
{ "stages": ["tender"], "cpvPrefixes": ["72", "48"], "lookbackDays": 2 }
```

SME-suitable construction tenders worth at least £100k, Contracts Finder only:

```json
{ "sources": ["contracts-finder"], "stages": ["tender"], "cpvPrefixes": ["45"], "minValue": 100000, "smeOnly": true }
```

Contract awards that mention "cleaning", used to track competitors:

```json
{ "stages": ["award"], "keywords": ["cleaning"], "stateKey": "cleaning-awards" }
```

IT tenders suitable for SMEs, daily alert:

```json
{"stages": ["tender"], "cpvPrefixes": ["72"], "smeOnly": true, "stateKey": "it-sme"}
```

### Output (one row per notice release)

`source, ocid, releaseId, releaseDate, tags, stage (planning|tender|award), stages, title, description, status, buyerName, buyerId, buyerLocality, buyerRegion, buyerCountry, cpvCodes, cpvDescription, mainCategory, procurementMethod, valueAmount, valueCurrency, tenderDeadline, contractStart, contractEnd, suitableForSme, awardedSuppliers, awardValue, url`

Personal contact details are removed. Contact-person fields are dropped, and email addresses and phone numbers are stripped from descriptions.

### Pricing (pay per event)

- $0.005 per run start
- $0.005 per notice returned

### Notes

- An updated notice (for example an amendment) is a new release, so it comes back as a new row with the same `ocid`.
- Contracts Finder filters on published date and Find a Tender on updated date.
- `stage` is the notice's most advanced stage (award > tender > planning). `stages` lists every stage it belongs to: Find a Tender often tags open tenders as both planning and tender, so `stage` is `tender` and `stages` is `["planning", "tender"]`. The `stages` filter returns a notice if any of its stages match, so you can select several stages at once.
