## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## noon Price & Seller Monitor (UAE, Egypt)

Track **prices, stock and the selling merchant** of products on [noon.com](https://www.noon.com) in the **UAE and Egypt** — and, in monitoring mode, get **only what changed** since your last run.

Built for sellers watching competitors, brands policing their prices across merchants, and analysts tracking the Gulf e-commerce market.

**What makes it different**

- **Every seller, not just the featured one.** noon shows one seller per product, but many products have several. This Actor returns all of them, cheapest first, so you can see who is undercutting whom.
- **Changes only.** In monitoring mode you get (and pay for) only products whose price, stock or sellers changed: new sellers, sellers who left, each seller's price move, and products removed from noon.
- **Two speeds.** Search results give 50-90 products per page with price, discount and featured seller. Product pages add every seller's offer.

### What you get

For every product:

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `sku`, `country`, `name`, `brand`, `model`, `color`, `url` | `N70434494V`, `uae`, `AirPods 5 white`, `Apple` |
| `price`, `currency`, `priceValidUntil` | `549`, `AED` |
| `availability`, `inStock`, `condition` | `InStock`, `true`, `NewCondition` |
| `sellerName`, `sellerRating`, `sellerRatingCount` | `Boat-t Deals`, `4.6`, `498` |
| `shippingCost`, `handlingDaysMax`, `transitDaysMin`, `transitDaysMax` | `0`, `2`, `1`, `2` |
| `returnDays`, `freeReturns` | `15`, `true` |
| `listPrice`, `discountPct` | `579`, `5.2` |
| `fulfilledByNoon`, `lowStock`, `estimatedDelivery` | `true`, `false`, `Get it Tomorrow` |
| `offersCount`, `lowestPrice`, `lowestPriceSeller`, `featuredIsLowest` | `5`, `549`, `Boat-t Deals`, `true` |
| `sellersCount` (distinct sellers; one seller can have two offers), `lowestPriceSellers` (all tied at the lowest price), `featuredPremiumPct` (how much more the featured offer costs than the cheapest) | `4`, `["Boat-t Deals"]`, `0` |
| `searchQuery`, `searchPosition` (keyword and rank that found the product; empty for SKU/URL input) | `airpods`, `3` |
| `offers` | every seller: name, price, list price, discount, fulfilment, low-stock flag, rating |
| `rating`, `ratingCount` | `4.4`, `59` |
| `observedAt` | `2026-10-01T16:40:00+00:00` |

With **monitoring mode** on, each result also has `isNew`, `hasChanged`, `previousPrice`, `priceChange`, `priceChangePct`, `previousAvailability`, `availabilityChanged`, `previousSellerName`, `sellerChanged`, `previousLowestPrice`, `lowestPriceChange`, `newSellers`, `removedSellers`, `sellerPriceChanges` and `previousObservedAt`. If a tracked product disappears from noon, you get one result with `availability: "Removed"` (reported once, not every run).

### How to use it

1. **Choose what to track** — any mix of:
   - **Search keywords** (e.g. `airpods`): fast, 50-90 products per results page with price and featured seller. Turn on *Open product pages* to get every seller.
   - **SKUs** (e.g. `N70434494V`, the code before `/p/` in a product URL): best for a fixed watch list.
   - **Product URLs**: the country is read from the URL.
2. **Pick countries** (UAE, Egypt). SKUs and keywords are checked in every selected country. Saudi Arabia is not supported yet: noon's Saudi storefront blocks automated access, even through Saudi IPs.
3. For daily tracking, turn on **Monitoring mode**, optionally **Only output changes**, and add a **Schedule** (e.g. every morning). Use a different *Monitoring state name* for each independent watch list.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "countries": ["uae", "egypt"],
  "skus": ["N70434494V", "N70108364V"],
  "monitorMode": true,
  "changesOnly": true
}
```

### Pricing

You pay **per product saved to the dataset**, at two rates: a lower one for products taken from search results and a higher one for products read from their product page (all sellers' offers). With *Only output changes*, unchanged products are checked but **not charged**, so daily monitoring of a stable catalogue stays cheap. Products that no longer exist are not charged, except the one-off `Removed` alert in monitoring mode (charged as a product result, once).

### Reliability and limits

- Prices and sellers come from the data noon embeds in its pages; the standard product data noon publishes for search engines is used as a fallback, so the featured price keeps working even if noon changes its page format (the full seller list may then be missing until the Actor is updated).
- Requests are paced politely and only search and product pages are requested, which noon's `robots.txt` allows.
- Residential proxies are the default: in testing, noon blocked datacenter IPs on most requests, while residential runs completed every page.
- Optionally, each storefront can be fetched through residential IPs from its own country (*Use proxies from each storefront's country*, off by default).
- Product names, seller names and delivery texts follow the chosen *Language*; change detection compares sellers by their noon code where available (product pages), and does not flag a seller change just because you switched language.
- If noon still blocks a page after all retries, the run's status says **INCOMPLETE** and the missing pages are listed in the `FAILED_URLS` record, so you never get a partial dataset without knowing.
- Search results carry the featured offer only; use product pages (SKUs, URLs or *Open product pages*) for every seller.
- A product found by several keywords in the same run is returned (and charged) once, under the first keyword that found it; a product you also list as SKU or URL is returned once, from its product page.
- A keyword with no results on noon ends normally with 0 products (it is not reported as blocked).
- SKUs are checked before the run: entries that are not noon SKUs are skipped with a warning, and pasted product URLs are accepted.
- `Removed` alerts need product pages (SKUs or URLs): a product that simply drops out of search results is not reported as removed.
- Offers that cannot currently be bought are listed but ignored for `lowestPrice`.
- `stockIndicator` in offers is noon's own low-stock signal, not an exact inventory count.
- `rating` and `ratingCount` are the ones noon displays, which for some products cover a whole model family rather than the exact variant.
- A seller can appear twice in `offers`, once shipping itself and once Fulfilled by noon, often at different prices; both are kept.
- The featured seller is often **not** the cheapest one; `featuredIsLowest` and `lowestPriceSeller` show it.
- noon may change its site at any time; if something breaks, open an issue and it will be fixed quickly.

### Monitoring state

In monitoring mode, the last known values are kept in a key-value store named after *Monitoring state name* in **your own Apify account**. It is saved about every minute during the run, immediately if the platform migrates or aborts the run, and at the end, so a timeout or crash can repeat at most about a minute of alerts on the next run. If a run stops at your *maximum cost per run*, products you did not receive are not marked as seen and are reported on the next run.

### Data and privacy

The Actor collects **factual commercial data only**: prices, availability, merchant (company) names and aggregate ratings. It does **not** collect customer reviews, reviewer names, product descriptions or images. You are responsible for using the data in line with noon's terms and the laws that apply to you.

This is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by noon; "noon" is used only to describe the website the data comes from.

### Changelog

- **0.1.12** — Reliability update: search pages are saved in one step (a retried page no longer loses products, two keywords can no longer charge the same product twice, and runs are faster); keywords without results end normally; a product listed as SKU/URL is not also charged from search results; SKUs are validated and pasted URLs accepted; HTTP 410 counts as removed; overlapping keywords no longer cut each other short; monitoring state saved every minute.
- **0.1** — First release: all sellers' offers, fast search mode, seller-level change detection; keyword, SKU and URL input; UAE and Egypt; monitoring mode with change detection and removed-product alerts; progress survives platform migrations.

# Actor input Schema

## `countries` (type: `array`):

noon storefronts to check. Each product is looked up in every selected country. Saudi Arabia is not supported yet (noon's Saudi storefront blocks automated access).

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

Keywords to search on noon, e.g. "airpods". Each results page gives 50-90 products.

## `skus` (type: `array`):

noon SKUs to track, e.g. N70434494V (the code before /p/ in a product URL). Best for daily monitoring of a fixed list. Pasted product URLs are accepted too.

## `productUrls` (type: `array`):

Full noon product URLs, e.g. https://www.noon.com/uae-en/airpods-5/N70434494V/p/. The country and language are read from each URL.

## `openProductPages` (type: `boolean`):

Off (default): prices and the featured seller come straight from the search results, 50-90 products per page — fast and cheap. On: every product page is opened to collect ALL sellers' offers (slower, charged as product results). SKUs and product URLs always open the product page.

## `includeOffers` (type: `boolean`):

For product pages, add the full list of sellers with their price, list price, stock signal, fulfilment and rating. Change detection uses it even when this is off.

## `maxResultsPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

Stops paginating a search once this many products were queued.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language of product names.

## `monitorMode` (type: `boolean`):

Remember results between runs and add previous price, price change, stock change and seller change to every result. Use with a schedule.

## `changesOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Requires monitoring mode (ignored without it). Output (and pay for) only products that are new or whose price, stock or seller changed.

## `monitorStoreName` (type: `string`):

Name of the key-value store holding the last known values. Use a different name for each independent watch list.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Parallel requests. Keep it low to stay polite and avoid blocks.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy servers used to reach noon. Residential (default) is recommended: in tests, noon blocked datacenter IPs on most requests and pages were lost, while residential completed every page.

## `matchProxyCountry` (type: `boolean`):

With Apify Proxy, fetch each storefront through IPs from its own country (UAE, Egypt), using the proxy group you selected above. Off by default: tests completed every page without it. Ignored if you pick a proxy country yourself or use your own proxies.

## `maxRequestsPerMinute` (type: `integer`):

noon throttles bursts of requests (HTTP 429). Keep this low.
