## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Jobstreet Jobs Scraper

**Scrape Jobstreet jobs in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia by keyword and location.** Get title, company, salary as numbers, work type, classification, full description, expiry date and apply link. Export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or use the API. **$0.50 per 1,000 jobs, no start fee.**

Scrape jobs from **Jobstreet**, the leading job site in Southeast Asia (`my.jobstreet.com`, `sg.jobstreet.com`, `ph.jobstreet.com`, `id.jobstreet.com`), the way you search on the website: keywords, location and every Jobstreet filter. Each job comes with the **salary as numbers** in the local currency (for example "RM 10,000 – RM 15,000 per month"), work type, work arrangement, classification, location, the full description, the expiry date and the company's industry, size and website. Jobstreet shows at most 550 jobs per search; this scraper splits big searches to **get them all**. Run it on a schedule to get **only new jobs**. No browser, no login.

### What can this Jobstreet scraper do?

- 🔎 **Search like on the website**: keywords such as `software engineer` or `accountant`, a city or region, or paste any Jobstreet search link.
- 🌏 **Four countries**: Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia. Salaries come in MYR, SGD, PHP or IDR, and in USD when a job in Malaysia, the Philippines or Indonesia pays in dollars.
- 🎛️ **All Jobstreet filters**: classification, work type (full time, part time, contract/temp, casual), work arrangement (on-site, hybrid, remote), date listed and minimum salary per month, year or hour. Sort by newest or by relevance.
- ♾️ **Beyond 550 results**: big searches are split by classification, work type and salary band, then merged without duplicates.
- 💰 **Salary as numbers**: "RM 3,800 – RM 5,000 per month" becomes `{ "min": 3800, "max": 5000, "currency": "MYR", "interval": "month" }`. Labels such as "Rp 5.250.000", "₱40,000" or "30k-35k/month" are understood too.
- 🏢 **Company profile**: industry, number of employees, website and the company's rating on the site.
- 🆕 **Only new jobs since the last run**: for job alerts, recruiting pipelines and market monitoring.
- 🧩 **Same output as our other job scrapers**, listed at the end of this page, so jobs from company career sites and job boards fit into one table.

### How to scrape Jobstreet jobs

1. Enter **job titles or keywords**, one search per line, for example `accountant`. Or paste links of searches you made on Jobstreet.
2. Pick the **country** and optionally a **location** such as `Kuala Lumpur`, `Penang`, `Makati City` or `Jakarta Raya`.
3. Optionally choose **classifications**, **work types**, **work arrangements**, a **minimum salary** or a **date range**.
4. Click **Start**. Download the jobs as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or get them through the API.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["software engineer", "accountant"],
  "country": "MY",
  "location": "Kuala Lumpur",
  "workTypes": ["242"],
  "postedWithinDays": 7,
  "onlyWithSalary": true
}
```

Work types are `242` full time, `243` part time, `244` contract/temp and `245` casual/vacation. In the form you simply pick them from a list.

### Use cases

- **Recruitment agencies**: see every new role in your sector and city each morning, with pay and company size.
- **Job boards and aggregators**: fill a Malaysian, Singaporean, Filipino or Indonesian job board with fresh listings.
- **Sales and lead generation**: companies hiring are growing. Industry, size and website turn job ads into leads.
- **Salary research**: compare monthly pay by role, classification, city and work type across four countries.
- **Labor market analytics**: track demand by classification, location and work arrangement over time.

### How much does it cost?

You pay only for the jobs you get: **$0.50 per 1,000 jobs**. There is no start fee. Jobs filtered out by your settings are free. The Apify free plan covers about 10,000 jobs every month.

### Tips

- **Daily job alerts**: save your input as a task, turn on **Only new jobs since the last run** and add a schedule. Send new jobs to Slack, email or Google Sheets with Apify integrations.
- **Fast lists**: turn off **Load full job details**. You still get title, company, location, salary, work type and date.
- **Stricter results**: Jobstreet also matches related words. Use **Title must contain** to keep only jobs with your keyword in the title.
- **Several countries**: run one search per country, or save a task for each.
- **Errors per search**: see the `SUMMARY` record in the run's key-value store.

### FAQ

**Why do some jobs have no salary?** Many ads show text such as "Competitive" instead of numbers. When numbers are given, they are parsed; `salary.text` keeps the original wording.

**Does it collect recruiter contact details?** No. There are no fields for recruiters' names, emails or phone numbers, and they are not requested. The job description is saved as the employer wrote it.

**Is it legal to scrape Jobstreet?** The Actor reads the public job listings Jobstreet shows to every visitor. Check the terms that apply to your use case.

### Integrations and API

- **Google Sheets, Slack, email and CRMs**: connect the Actor to Make, Zapier or n8n, or use the **Integrations** tab of this Actor. With **Only new jobs since the last run** and a schedule, each run sends only the new jobs.
- **Webhooks**: call your own URL when a run finishes, for example to load the new jobs into your database.
- **AI agents (MCP)**: add `https://mcp.apify.com?tools=robertosan16/jobstreet-jobs-scraper` as an MCP server in Claude, Cursor or VS Code, and your agent can search jobs with this Actor. Tell it how many jobs you need, so it sets **Maximum jobs in total**.
- **LangChain and LlamaIndex**: load the jobs into your LLM app with the Apify loaders.
- **API**: one request runs the Actor and returns the jobs, for runs of up to 5 minutes. Start longer runs with the `runs` endpoint and read the dataset when they finish.

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/robertosan16~jobstreet-jobs-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"searchQueries":["software engineer"],"country":"MY","maxItems":20}'
```

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

What to search, for example <code>software engineer</code> or <code>accountant</code>. Each line is a separate search with the filters below. You can also paste links of searches from Jobstreet.

## `country` (type: `string`):

The Jobstreet site to search. Salaries come in its currency, MYR, SGD, PHP or IDR.

## `location` (type: `string`):

A suburb, city, region or state as on Jobstreet, for example <code>Kuala Lumpur</code>, <code>Penang</code>, <code>Makati City</code> or <code>Jakarta Raya</code>. Leave empty for the whole country.

## `classifications` (type: `array`):

Job categories as on SEEK. Leave empty for all.

## `workTypes` (type: `array`):

Leave empty for all.

## `workArrangements` (type: `array`):

On-site, hybrid or remote. Leave empty for all.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs listed in the last N days: 1 means today and yesterday. Leave empty or 0 for any date.

## `minSalary` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs paying at least this much, in MYR, SGD, PHP or IDR, per the salary type below. Jobstreet applies it to the pay range the employer set, even when the ad does not show it.

## `salaryType` (type: `string`):

What the minimum salary above means.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Newest first suits job alerts. Links you paste keep their own order.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Skip jobs whose title contains any of these, for example <code>intern</code> or <code>senior</code>. Common word endings are included.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains any of these words or phrases. Jobstreet searches descriptions too, so this makes results stricter. Add <code>*</code> for any ending: <code>data*</code>.

## `onlyWithSalary` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs that state a pay range or rate.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

For scheduled runs: save only jobs that were not seen in earlier runs of the same saved task. The first run saves all current jobs and remembers them. Jobs that did not match your filters are remembered too.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Open each job page for the full description (text and HTML), expiry date and company industry, size and website. Turn off for fast results with a short summary instead.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after saving this many jobs. Leave empty or 0 for no limit. The example is kept small so the first run takes seconds.

## `maxItemsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Save at most this many jobs from each search. Leave empty or 0 for no limit.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

The Actor connects directly, which is fastest. If Jobstreet starts limiting requests, it switches to Apify Proxy automatically. Turn on a proxy here only to use it from the start.
