## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Brazil Public Tenders Monitor (PNCP licitações)

```
### Tips
- Narrow by **state** and **modality**: the PNCP API is slow (about 5 s per page), and every extra state × modality is another full listing to scan.
- Runs stop after `maxRunSeconds` (default 240) and keep what was found. Raise it for full-Brazil scans.
- Tenders with a confidential estimate have `estimatedValue: null`.
### Pricing
Pay per event: a fee per **tender returned**. See the *Pricing* tab.
### Data and legality
Uses only the **official public PNCP consultation API** (open government data, no login, no captcha). Requests are sequential per query with a small pool of parallel pages and back-off on errors.
# Actor input Schema
## `mode` (type: `string`):
'open' = tenders currently receiving proposals (best for sales teams). 'published' = tenders published between the dates below.
## `keywords` (type: `array`):
Keep tenders whose object contains ANY of these terms (accents and case ignored), e.g. 'notebook', 'merenda escolar', 'software'. Empty = all.
## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):
Drop tenders whose object contains any of these terms.
## `modalities` (type: `array`):
Procurement modalities. Default: electronic reverse auction (pregão eletrônico) and electronic competition (concorrência eletrônica).
## `states` (type: `array`):
Two-letter state codes, e.g. SP, MG. Empty = all Brazil.
## `cityIbgeCodes` (type: `array`):
Optional 7-digit IBGE municipality codes, e.g. 3550308 (São Paulo).
## `agencyCnpjs` (type: `array`):
Optional CNPJs of the buying agencies (órgãos).
## `minValue` (type: `integer`):
Keep tenders with estimated value at least this. Tenders without a disclosed value are kept unless 'Drop tenders without value' is on.
## `maxValue` (type: `integer`):
Keep tenders with estimated value up to this.
## `dropWithoutValue` (type: `boolean`):
With a min/max value, also drop tenders whose estimated value is confidential or zero.
## `dateFrom` (type: `string`):
YYYY-MM-DD. Default: 7 days ago.
## `dateTo` (type: `string`):
YYYY-MM-DD. Default: today.
## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):
Remember tenders already delivered (in a key-value store of your account) and output only new ones. Use with a daily schedule for alerts.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Maximum tenders to return.
## `maxRunSeconds` (type: `integer`):
Stop scanning after this many seconds and finish with the tenders found so far. The PNCP API is slow (about 5 s per page), so whole-Brazil searches can take long; raise this for complete scans.
