## Pricing

from $1.20 / 1,000 feed region chargeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does Bloomberg Home Feed Scraper do?

**Bloomberg Home Feed Scraper** fetches Bloomberg's curated regional Home feed — the same
modules (top stories, videos, markets snapshots) the official Bloomberg Android app shows on
its Home tab — for one or more regions in a single run, and pushes one dataset row per region.

It talks directly to the internal API the Bloomberg Android app uses
(`cdn-mobapi.bloomberg.com`), reverse-engineered by live device capture. No Bloomberg account,
API key, or scraping setup required. This is the Home-feed slice of
[Bloomberg All-in-One API](https://apify.com/romy/bloomberg-all-in-one-api), split out as its
own focused Actor.

### Why use Bloomberg Home Feed Scraper?

- **Real API, not bundled data or a WebView** — this exact traffic hid from three separate
  capture methods (an HTTP-client-class hook, a native `connect()` syscall hook, and raw
  `tcpdump` all showed zero relevant requests). It only surfaced one layer deeper, at the TLS
  socket's plaintext write, before encryption — because the app sends this request over an
  already-open HTTP/1.1 keep-alive socket via a raw HTTP client, not through its usual OkHttp
  Request builder. Once found, it turned out to be a genuine server-side API call, not
  client-bundled content.
- **No auth needed** — no API key, login, or session token; only a fixed `user-agent` header
  identifying the app.
- **Multiple regions in one run** — pass an array of regions and get each region's feed as its
  own dataset row, fetched in parallel.
- **Use cases:** regional news monitoring, editorial-curation tracking, market-snapshot
  dashboards, content aggregation.

### Input

| Field     | Type     | Description                                                                                                                         |
| --------- | -------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `regions` | string\[] | One or more regions to fetch. **Required.** Only `africa`, `asia`, `canada`, `europe`, `latam`, `uk` are confirmed live; see below. |

Example:

```json
{
    "regions": ["asia", "europe"]
}
```

### Output

One dataset row per region, each with the raw upstream feed payload:

```json
{
    "region": "asia",
    "feed": {
        "modules": [
            {
                "type": "topStories",
                "items": [{ "id": "...", "headline": "...", "summary": "..." }]
            },
            { "type": "video", "items": [] },
            { "type": "markets", "items": [] }
        ]
    }
}
```

The exact shape of `feed` is whatever Bloomberg's server returns for that region — it is not
normalized or filtered by this Actor.

### Known limitations

- **Only 6 confirmed-working regions** — `africa`, `asia`, `canada`, `europe`, `latam`, `uk`.
  This is not a free-form field: other plausible-looking values (`us`, `global`, `apac`,
  `emea`, etc.) reliably 404 server-side rather than silently falling back to a default region.
- Topic/category feeds (Technology, Politics, etc. under the app's Menu) are confirmed
  WebView-rendered, not an API call, and are out of scope for this Actor and its parent.
- This Actor only fetches the Home feed. For per-security data, search, article bodies, and
  more, see [Bloomberg All-in-One API](https://apify.com/romy/bloomberg-all-in-one-api).

### Pricing

Pay-per-event: $0.0015 per `feed-region` result (FREE plan; BRONZE/SILVER/GOLD/PLATINUM/DIAMOND get automatic discounts based on your Apify plan). Billed per region processed.

# Actor input Schema

## `regions` (type: `array`):

One or more Bloomberg app regions to fetch the Home feed for. Only these 6 values are confirmed live server-side — any other value (e.g. "us", "global", "apac", "emea") reliably 404s.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "regions": [
    "asia"
  ]
}
