## Pricing

from $0.50 / 1,000 review chargeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does Google Maps Reviews Scraper do?

**Google Maps Reviews Scraper** pulls every review for one Google Maps place — rating, text, language, reviewer profile, per-aspect ratings (e.g. service, food, ambience), helpful count, photos, and the owner's reply when there is one — paginating automatically until it runs out of reviews or hits your `maxItems` limit.

### Why use Google Maps Reviews Scraper?

- **Real pagination** — follows the actual `nextPageToken` the Google Maps app itself receives, not a guessed offset
- **Owner replies** — reply text and date when a business has responded
- **Per-aspect ratings** — structured `aspects` map (e.g. `{ "Service": 4, "Food": 5 }`) when the place exposes them
- **No account or API key needed** — every request works fully anonymously
- **Use cases:** review sentiment pipelines, local business reputation research, competitor monitoring

### How it connects to the parent

This is the reviews slice of [Google Maps All-in-One API](https://apify.com/romy/google-maps-all-in-one-api), split out as its own focused, normal batch-run Actor (input in, dataset out) instead of an always-on Standby REST API. It talks directly to the same internal gRPC API the official Google Maps Android app uses (`mobilemaps-pa-gz.googleapis.com`), reverse-engineered by live capture against a real device.

### Input

| Field       | Type    | Description                                                                                                            |
| ----------- | ------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `featureId` | string  | **Required.** Google Maps place id (from a place URL, or the parent's `/search`, `/suggest`, or `/geocode` endpoints). |
| `pageSize`  | integer | Reviews per request. Default `10`.                                                                                     |
| `language`  | string  | BCP-47 language tag for review text and dates. Default `en-US`.                                                        |
| `maxItems` | integer | Stop once this many reviews have been pushed. Default: unbounded (fetch all reviews). |

Example:

```json
{
    "featureId": "0x89b7b7bcdecbb1df:0x715969d86d0b76bf",
    "pageSize": 10,
    "maxItems": 100
}
```

### Output

One dataset row per review:

```json
{
    "reviewId": "ChdDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSUNBd0lYYzRnEAE",
    "rating": 5,
    "text": "Great spot!",
    "lang": "en",
    "dateText": "3 months ago",
    "helpfulCount": 2,
    "aspects": { "Service": 5, "Food": 4 },
    "ownerReply": "Thanks for visiting!",
    "ownerReplyDate": "2 months ago",
    "reviewerName": "Jane D.",
    "reviewerUid": "104...",
    "reviewerBadge": "Local Guide"
}
```

Fields vary per review — undefined fields are omitted from each row.

### Known limitations

- One reply per review is the most Google's data model supports — there's nothing to paginate within a single review's replies.
- Place search, place details, directions, and other Google Maps data are separate Actors — this one is reviews-only.

### Pricing

Pay per event, via the `review` event — charged once per review pushed to the dataset, starting at $0.0006 (FREE tier). See the Actor's Pricing tab for current rates.
