# Kick Viewer Counts Scraper (`romy/kick-viewer-counts-scraper`) Actor

Get real-time viewer counts for one or more Kick.com livestreams in a single batched call. Talks directly to Kick's own internal current-viewers API - no account or API key needed. Split out from romy/kick-all-in-one-api as a focused Actor for viewer-count dashboards and stream-popularity tracking.

## Pricing

from $1.60 / 1,000 viewer count fetcheds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does Kick Viewer Counts Scraper do?

**Kick Viewer Counts Scraper** takes one or more Kick livestream ids and pushes back their real-time viewer counts in a single batched call, one dataset row per livestream.

It talks directly to the same internal API the official [Kick](https://kick.com/) Android app uses (`kick.com/current-viewers`), reverse-engineered by capturing and analyzing live traffic from the real app. No Kick account, no API key, no scraping setup. This is the viewer-counts slice of [Kick All-in-One API](https://apify.com/romy/kick-all-in-one-api), split out as its own focused Actor.

### Why use Kick Viewer Counts Scraper?

- **One call, many channels** — batch as many livestream ids as you want into a single request instead of hitting the channel page once per id
- **Real-time numbers** — the same counts the app itself shows, not a cached or delayed figure
- **No account needed** — the endpoint works fully anonymously
- **Use cases:** viewer-count dashboards, stream-popularity tracking over time, alerting on viewer spikes/drops, feeding a leaderboard alongside other Kick data

### Input

| Field           | Type     | Description                                                                                                                                                                                                               |
| --------------- | -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `livestreamIds` | string\[] | **Required.** Numeric livestream ids, e.g. the `id` field from [kick-discovery-scraper](https://apify.com/romy/kick-discovery-scraper)'s `home` mode. See Data notes below — not every id format Kick returns works here. |

Example:

```json
{
    "livestreamIds": ["124912670", "56488514"]
}
```

### Output

One dataset row per livestream id, in the exact shape Kick's own API returns:

```json
{ "livestream_id": 124912670, "viewers": 6495, "show_view_count": true }
```

### Data notes

- **This endpoint strictly validates ids as integers, confirmed live.** A UUID-style livestream id — the format returned by `GET /api/v1/livestreams` (e.g. `01a05572-6ef0-7270-8f8c-042989822a75`) — is rejected with a 422 `"This field must be an integer"` error. The plain integer ids returned by `GET /home` (`kick-discovery-scraper`'s `home` mode) work correctly; a channel's numeric `id` (from `kick-channel-profile-scraper`) was also confirmed live to return a valid result.
- The raw response is a plain JSON array, not wrapped in an object — this Actor pushes it exactly as-is.

### Known limitations

- Only wraps this one guest-accessible, read-only endpoint — no login flow is implemented or planned, by design (same as every actor in this family).
- This is an unofficial, reverse-engineered integration, not affiliated with or endorsed by Kick Streaming, Inc. Behavior may change if Kick changes its API.

### Pricing

Pay-per-event, `viewer-count` — charged once per livestream id's viewer-count row pushed. FREE tier: $0.002 per event. See the Actor's Pricing tab for current rates across all plans.

# Actor input Schema

## `livestreamIds` (type: `array`):

Numeric livestream ids, e.g. from kick-discovery-scraper's home/livestreams modes (the `id` field on each livestream). Note: the newer /api/v1/livestreams endpoint returns UUID-style ids that this endpoint rejects — use the integer ids from GET /home or GET /stream/featured-livestreams instead.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "livestreamIds": [
    "124912670"
  ]
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `dataset` (type: `string`):
