## Pricing

from $0.31 / 1,000 team standing returneds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## MSN Sports Standings Scraper

Unofficial wrapper around MSN's own public sports content API. Pulls current league standings/tables for major sports leagues as structured JSON — no scraping, no HTML parsing, no login required.

### What

Give this Actor one or more league ids and it returns the current standings table for each: team records, win/loss splits, points, and seeding. One dataset row per team.

### Why

Track league tables across multiple sports in one place — useful for fan dashboards, fantasy-sports tools, or betting/analytics pipelines that need structured standings data without manually checking MSN's site.

### How to use MSN Sports Standings Scraper

1. Open the Actor's Input tab.
2. Select one or more leagues from the `leagueIds` list, and optionally a season phase.
3. Click **Start**. The Actor fetches the current standings for each league and pushes one row per team to the dataset.
4. Open the Output tab, or export the dataset as JSON/CSV/Excel.

### Input

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `leagueIds` | array of strings | Yes | One or more leagues. Confirmed values: `Football_NFL`, `Basketball_NBA`, `Baseball_MLB`, `IceHockey_NHL`, `Soccer_USAMajorLeagueSoccer`, `Soccer_InternationalClubsUEFAChampionsLeague`, `Soccer_UEFAEuropaLeague`. |
| `seasonPhase` | string | No | `regularSeason` (default), `postSeason`, or `preSeason`. |

### Output

One item per team standing. MSN's own response fields are passed through largely as-is since they're richer than any fixed schema could usefully flatten — expect fields like `team` (name, alias, colors, id), `winLossHome`, `winLossAway`, `seed`, and point averages, plus a `leagueId` tag added by this Actor.

```json
{
    "leagueId": "Basketball_NBA",
    "team": { "name": { "rawName": "Oklahoma City Thunder" }, "alias": "OKC", "seed": 1 },
    "winLossHome": { "wins": 34, "losses": 7, "ties": 0 },
    "winLossAway": { "wins": 30, "losses": 10, "ties": 0 }
}
```

You can download the dataset in various formats such as JSON, HTML, CSV, or Excel.

### Pricing

Pay-per-event, billed per team-standing row pushed. See the Actor's Pricing tab for current rates.

### Known limitations

- League coverage depends on MSN's own league catalog; not every league/competition worldwide is available, and league ids must match MSN's own naming exactly (see the confirmed values above).
- This is an unofficial, reverse-engineered integration, not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft Corporation. Behavior may change if MSN changes its API.
