## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does PSE Stock Quotes do?

**PSE Stock Quotes** fetches real-time stock price data from the [Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE)](https://www.pse.com.ph) for any list of symbols you specify. For each symbol it returns the current price in PHP, percentage change from the previous close, and trading volume — ready for export to JSON, CSV, or Excel via Apify.

### Why use PSE Stock Quotes?

- **Portfolio monitoring:** Track prices of your PH stock holdings automatically.
- **Trading signals:** Feed price data into your own analysis scripts or dashboards.
- **Financial research:** Collect historical snapshots of PSE prices on a schedule.
- **Data pipelines:** Integrate Philippine stock data into spreadsheets, BI tools, or databases.

### How to use PSE Stock Quotes

1. Open the Actor in Apify Console and click **Try for free**.
2. Enter the **Stock Symbols** you want — e.g. `SM`, `BDO`, `ALI`, `JGS`.
3. Click **Start**. Results appear in the **Output** tab within seconds.

### Input

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `symbols` | list of strings | yes | PSE stock symbols, e.g. `["SM", "BDO", "ALI"]` |

Symbols are case-insensitive — `sm` and `SM` are treated the same.

### Output

Each dataset item represents one stock:

```json
{
  "symbol": "SM",
  "name": "SM Investments Corporation",
  "price_php": 622.0,
  "percent_change": 1.63,
  "volume": 155540,
  "as_of": "2026-05-28T00:00:00+08:00"
}
```

You can download the dataset in JSON, CSV, Excel, or HTML formats from the Output tab.

### Data fields

| Field | Format | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| `symbol` | text | PSE ticker symbol |
| `name` | text | Full company name |
| `price_php` | number | Last traded price in Philippine Peso |
| `percent_change` | number | % change from previous close |
| `volume` | number | Total shares traded |
| `as_of` | date | Timestamp of the price data (PHT, UTC+8) |

### Pricing

This Actor uses **Pay Per Event (PPE)** pricing — you pay per dataset item. Fetching 10 symbols costs approximately $0.001.

### FAQ and disclaimers

Data is sourced from a public API and may be delayed. For real-time trading, verify prices with your broker. This Actor is not affiliated with PSE.
