## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Jobs Search API: Greenhouse, Ashby and SmartRecruiters Company Jobs

Search about 390,000 open jobs across 7,000+ company career sites in one run, or pull every job from the companies you name.
Filter by keyword, location, remote, salary and posting date, and get clean JSON straight from the hiring systems' own
public job-board APIs. No login, no browser, no blocked pages.

Good for job boards and aggregators, recruiters, sales teams watching who is hiring, hiring-trend research, and AI agents
that need live job data.

### What it costs

You pay per job returned, plus one small fee per search. Set **Max results** and the run stops there, so you decide the
cost before you start. The exact prices are on this page's Pricing tab.

### Two ways to use it

**Search every company.** Leave Companies empty and set your filters:

```json
{ "keywords": ["data engineer"], "locations": ["Remote"], "postedWithinDays": 7, "maxResults": 200 }
```

**Only the companies you name.** List careers URLs or slugs. This mode also covers Lever:

```json
{ "companies": ["https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb", "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir", "openai"] }
```

For a daily feed of new jobs, schedule a run with `postedWithinDays` set to 1.

### Input

- `keywords`: job title, department or team contains one of these.
- `locations`: location contains one of these (for example `London`, `Remote`, `India`).
- `remoteOnly`: only jobs the hiring system marks as remote.
- `postedWithinDays`: only jobs published or updated in the last N days.
- `salaryOnly`: only jobs that state pay.
- `maxResults`: the search stops at this many jobs. Default 100.
- `includeDescription`: add the full description as plain text.
- `maxJobsPerCompany`: most jobs from one company, so one big employer cannot fill your list. Default 25 in a search, 500
  when you name companies.
- `companies`: leave empty to search everything. Accepts a careers URL, `greenhouse:airbnb`, or a bare slug like `openai`.
- `systems`: limit the search to `greenhouse`, `ashby` or `smartrecruiters`.

### Output (one dataset item per job)

`company`, `ats`, `jobId`, `title`, `department`, `team`, `locations` (list), `remote`, `workplaceType`,
`employmentType`, `compensation` (when the company publishes it), `postedAt`, `updatedAt`, `url`, `applyUrl`,
`description` (optional), `source`, `scrapedAt`.

A `SUMMARY` record in the run's key-value store shows how many boards were read and how many jobs matched. When you name
companies it lists each one: whether a board was found, which system, and how many jobs are open.

### Honest limits

- The search covers the boards in this tool's index, rebuilt about monthly from public lists, and every board in it had
  open jobs when it was last checked. It is not every company in the world. Workday, iCIMS and companies with their own
  systems are not covered.
- Boards are read biggest first, so a low Max results favours large employers.
- Lever is available when you name companies, not in the search: its API asks for one request a second, which is too slow
  to walk thousands of boards.
- In a search, only the first 300 jobs of each SmartRecruiters company are read. Name the company to get all of them.
- Fields depend on what each system publishes. Salary appears only where a company shares it, and most Greenhouse boards do
  not. SmartRecruiters gives no description through its public listing API.
- `company` is the company's slug on that system, usually its name in lowercase.

### Privacy and fair use

Company-level job data only: never a recruiter's or employee's name. Emails and phone numbers inside descriptions are
masked. The tool uses public APIs that companies publish so their jobs can be shown anywhere, and it respects Lever's crawl
delay. Use the data in line with each company's terms and the laws that apply to you.

Greenhouse and Ashby company names were seeded from
[job-board-aggregator](https://github.com/Riley-Dorrington/job-board-aggregator) by Riley Dorrington (MIT licence).

Built and maintained by Digipahad (digipahad.com).

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Job title, department or team contains one of these (e.g. data engineer, account executive). Used for the search and when you name companies.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Location contains one of these (e.g. London, Remote, India).

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs the hiring system marks as remote.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs published in the last N days (where the system gives a date).

## `salaryOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs that state pay. Ashby and Lever publish it most often; Greenhouse boards rarely do.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

The search stops once it has this many jobs, so you control the cost. Applies when no companies are listed.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the full job description as plain text (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby). Emails and phone numbers are masked.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Most jobs to keep from one company. Default 25 in a search, 500 when you name companies.

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Leave empty to search every company in the index. Or list companies, one per line: a careers-page URL (e.g. https://jobs.lever.co/palantir, https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb, https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai), a slug with its system (greenhouse:airbnb) or a bare slug (openai). Lever works here but is not part of the search.

## `systems` (type: `array`):

Leave empty for all. Options: greenhouse, ashby, smartrecruiters.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "keywords": [
    "data engineer"
  ],
  "remoteOnly": false,
  "salaryOnly": false,
  "maxResults": 20,
  "includeDescription": false
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

One row per open job: company, title, team, locations, remote flag, salary where published, dates and the apply link.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

Per-company counts for the run (jobs found and kept), saved as the SUMMARY record.
