- **Full Actor documentation**: https://apify.com/rowcraft/domain-email-dns-checker.md

## Changelog

### 1.0.3 (2026-10-17)

- README: the Use cases section links the two public examples kept on the Store (Apify allows 100 public tasks per account; the third example stays available as a private task spec).

### 1.0.2 (2026-10-17)

- README: the list of other Rowcraft actors now includes the five website and extension tools published on 16.10.2026.
- Shared library: URL-like fields named link or guid (feed items) are no longer flagged as phone numbers; retry log line now reads "retry n/m".
- Shared library: an HTML page where JSON was expected (maintenance or block page, seen on 17.10.2026 at the Polish KRS API and at Workday) is retried and then reported with the page text instead of crashing the run on a parse error.

### 1.0.1 (2026-10-14)

- README: real screenshots of the input form and of a results table from Apify Console.

### 1.0.0 (2026-10-14)

- First release. For each domain: MX servers and the mailbox provider behind them, the security gateway in front (Proofpoint, Mimecast, Barracuda and others), the SPF record with its include tree and DNS lookup count, DMARC policy, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT and BIMI records, name servers and DNS provider, A and AAAA records, CAA issuers, and the services whose domain-verification records the owner published.
- Email security score from 0 to 100 and a list of the problems found (no MX, no SPF, SPF over 10 lookups, DMARC missing or set to none, and so on); the formula is in the README.
- Source: public DNS only. No web pages are fetched and no WHOIS or RDAP is used. No personal data: the SOA contact address is not delivered, email addresses found in TXT records are masked, and from DMARC only the domains that receive the reports are kept.
- List columns (`mxDomains`, `spfIncludes`, `spfServices`, `dmarcReportDomains`, `dmarcServices`, `nameservers`, `aRecords`, `aaaaRecords`, `caaIssuers`, `verifiedServices`, `issues`, `lookupErrors`) are delivered as one text with the items separated by a comma and a space, and `null` when empty, so the results table and CSV or Google Sheets exports show one cell per domain. Only `mx` stays a list (host and priority). `verifiedServiceCount` counts the verified services.
- Domains that do not exist or whose DNS servers fail are listed in `COVERAGE` with the reason and are not charged.
- Only new rows: a domain reappears only when its profile (providers and policies) has changed.
