## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Amazon Product Search & Price Tracker – Reliable API

Get Amazon search results and product details for any keyword or ASIN, on any Amazon marketplace: rank, price, rating, number of ratings, Amazon's Choice and Best Seller badges, sponsored flag, Best Sellers Rank, availability and more.
Schedule it daily to track prices, your product's rank per keyword, and competitors.
Built for Amazon sellers and brands, e-commerce analysts, price-comparison sites and AI agents.
The data comes from a licensed e-commerce data provider (DataForSEO), not from our own scraping, so runs do not fail on Amazon's captchas or blocks.

### What you get

- **Search results**: one row per product for each keyword, in Amazon's order, with organic rank, sponsored flag, ASIN, title, price, rating, ratings count, "bought in past month", badges, delivery message and product link.
- **Product details** (optional, per ASIN or product URL): brand, price and discount, availability, rating, ratings count, Best Sellers Rank per category, category path, parent and variant ASINs, description.
- **Rank tracking**: list your ASINs in `trackAsins` and every search row says `tracked: true` for your products.
- **Any marketplace**: United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Canada, India, Japan, Australia and more; any Amazon sort order.

Reviews and reviewer names are not included.

### Example output row (search)

A real row from a run with the default input:

```json
{
  "query": "wireless earbuds",
  "rank": 1,
  "rank_absolute": 1,
  "sponsored": false,
  "asin": "B0HCTKSSQK",
  "title": "Wireless Earbuds, 2026 Bluetooth 5.4 Headphones Bass Stereo Ear Buds with Noise Cancelling Mic, LED Display in Ear Earphones 50H Playtime Ear Buds, IP7 Waterproof for Laptop Pad Phones Pure Black",
  "price": 19.99,
  "price_to": null,
  "currency": "USD",
  "rating": 4.7,
  "reviews_count": 941,
  "bought_past_month": null,
  "is_amazon_choice": true,
  "is_best_seller": false,
  "delivery": "FREE delivery Oct 21 - 22 on $35 of items shipped by Amazon Or fastest delivery Tue, Oct 20",
  "url": "https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HCTKSSQK",
  "tracked": null,
  "marketplace": "amazon.com",
  "location": "United States",
  "language": "English (United States)",
  "sort_by": "relevance",
  "checked_at": "2026-10-15T17:15:08+00:00"
}
```

Product detail rows have `asin`, `found`, `title`, `brand`, `price`, `discount_pct`, `is_available`, `rating`, `reviews_count`, `best_sellers_rank` (`[{rank, category}]`), `categories`, `parent_asin`, `variant_asins`, `description`, `image_url` and `url`.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `searchQueries` | Keywords to search Amazon for (up to 500). |
| `maxProductsPerSearch` | Products per keyword, 10–700 (default 20). |
| `sortBy` | `relevance`, `price_low_to_high`, `price_high_to_low`, `featured`, `avg_customer_review`, `newest_arrival`. |
| `asins` | Optional ASINs or product URLs for full details (up to 1,000). |
| `trackAsins` | Optional: your ASINs, flagged in the search rows. |
| `location` / `language` | Marketplace, e.g. `United Kingdom` / `English (United Kingdom)`, `Germany` / `German (Germany)`. |

### Speed

Lookups go through the data provider's standard queue, which keeps the price low: a run usually finishes within 1–3 minutes, also for hundreds of searches.

### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription:

- **$1 per 1,000 search-result products** ($0.001 each).
- **$0.005 per product detail lookup** (per requested ASIN; an ASIN Amazon does not have still costs a lookup and comes back with `found: false`).
- **$0.002 per search** (per keyword), from 30 October 2026.
- $0.001 per run start.

Examples (from 30 October 2026): the top 20 products for one keyword cost $0.023. Tracking 50 keywords (top 20 each) every day costs about $33 a month. Details for 100 ASINs cost $0.50.

**Try it for $0.001:** the pre-filled example is answered from a saved snapshot of a real search (rows carry `from_snapshot: true`) and costs only the run start. Change anything and the search runs live.

**Free Apify plan:** the pre-filled example works on any plan. Live lookups need a paid Apify plan (any plan), because each one costs real money at the data provider; on the free plan the run returns a `paid_plan_required` row and charges nothing beyond the start.

You can cap the cost of a run with the maximum charge setting. The Actor only starts as many searches and detail lookups as your budget can pay for.

### Good to know

- `rank` counts organic and sponsored results separately; `rank_absolute` is the position on the page.
- Prices are what Amazon shows for the chosen location; some products show a range (`price` to `price_to`) or no price.
- Error rows carry `error` and `errorMessage` and are never charged, except `not_found` detail rows (the lookup was made).
