## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Hotels API – Hotel Price Comparison & Price Tracker

Get Google Hotels prices for any city and dates: every hotel Google shows, with stars, guest rating, number of reviews, price per night and discount, and, if you want, its price on every booking site (Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, the hotel's own site and more).
Filter by stars, rating and price, sort by price or rating, and re-run on a schedule to track hotel prices.
Built for travel startups, revenue managers and hotels watching competitors' rates, price-comparison sites, and AI travel agents.
The data comes through a licensed data provider (DataForSEO), not by scraping Google from a browser, so runs do not fail on captchas or blocks.

### What you get

- **Every hotel in a Google Hotels search**, in Google's order, 20 to 100 per search.
- **Price per night** for your dates and guests, the price before discount and Google's discount note ("22% less than usual").
- **Stars, guest rating and review count**, location (latitude, longitude) and a photo.
- **Prices from every booking site** (optional): the cheapest offer per site, cheapest first, with the hotel's own site flagged, free-cancellation dates when the site lists one, and room names. Plus the cheapest site and the official-site price side by side.
- **Hotel ids**: re-check the booking-site prices of chosen hotels on any dates without searching again.
- Any city, country, currency and language Google Hotels supports.

Hotel data only: no phone numbers, guest names or review texts.

### Example output

A real row from "hotels in new york" (2 adults, 2 nights, USD):

```json
{
  "type": "hotel",
  "query": "hotels in new york",
  "position": 2,
  "hotel_id": "ChoImOTyzeuCzrykARoNL2cvMTF2cGw0bnIzYhAB",
  "title": "LY New York Hotel",
  "stars": 2,
  "rating": 4.3,
  "reviews": 612,
  "price_per_night": 175,
  "currency": "USD",
  "check_in": "2026-11-20",
  "check_out": "2026-11-22",
  "adults": 2,
  "latitude": 40.7835127,
  "longitude": -73.8408876,
  "checked_at": "2026-10-21T12:07:38+00:00"
}
```

With **booking-site prices** on, each hotel also gets a `booking_prices` row. A real one for a Paris hotel showed 24 booking sites, from €102 a night on the cheapest site to €152 on Booking.com and Hotels.com, with the hotel's own site at €125:

```json
{
  "type": "booking_prices",
  "title": "The Originals Boutique, Hôtel Maison Montmartre, Paris",
  "cheapest_site": "Bluepillow.fr",
  "cheapest_price_per_night": 102,
  "official_site_price_per_night": 125,
  "booking_sites": [
    {"site": "Bluepillow.fr", "price_per_night": 102, "currency": "EUR", "official_site": false, "free_cancellation_until": null, "url": "https://..."},
    {"site": "Super.com", "price_per_night": 110, "currency": "EUR", "official_site": false, "free_cancellation_until": null, "url": "https://..."}
  ]
}
```

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `searches` | What you would type into Google Hotels, e.g. `hotels in paris`, `hotels near times square`. Up to 100. |
| `checkIn`, `checkOut` | Dates (`YYYY-MM-DD`). Empty = 30 days from today, 2 nights. Up to 30 nights. |
| `adults` | Guests, 1 to 12. Default 2. |
| `currency` | `USD`, `EUR`, `GBP` ... Default USD. |
| `location` | Country the search is made from, e.g. `United States`, `Germany`. |
| `maxHotels` | 20 to 100 per search, in steps of 20. Default 20. |
| `bookingSites` | Also get prices from every booking site for each hotel. |
| `hotelIds` | `hotel_id` values from earlier results: booking-site prices for those hotels only, no search. |
| `minStars`, `minRating`, `priceMin`, `priceMax` | Filters. |
| `sortBy` | `lowest_price`, `highest_rating`, `most_reviewed`, or Google's order. |

### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription:

- **$2 per 1,000 hotels** ($0.002 per hotel row).
- $0.002 per 20 hotels requested in a search.
- $0.004 per hotel for prices from every booking site (only when turned on).
- $0.001 per run start.

Examples: 20 hotels in one city cost about $0.04. With prices from every booking site, about $0.12. Tracking the booking-site prices of 5 chosen hotels every day costs about $0.02 a day.

You can cap the cost of a run with the maximum charge setting; the Actor only starts the lookups the budget covers. Failed lookups are never charged.
Live searches need a paid Apify plan (any plan); the pre-filled example works on the free plan.

### Good to know

- Prices are per night, for the dates and guests you give, as Google shows them (taxes and fees as Google shows them in that country).
- Google does not apply the star and price filters itself, so the Actor removes hotels outside them before charging; a filtered search can return fewer hotels than asked for. The rating filter and the sort options are applied by Google.
- Results usually arrive in seconds; booking-site prices take a little longer.
- A hotel can be missing a price when it has no availability on your dates.
- Put the country in the search or set **Search from country** to it: `hotels in paris` searched from the United States can return places named Paris in the US.
