## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Store List & Store Leads – Websites by Technology

Get a list of every website that uses a technology: all Shopify stores in the US, WooCommerce shops in Germany, Magento stores in the UK, or websites running any of 7,000+ technologies (Klaviyo, Stripe, HubSpot, WordPress, BigCommerce, Wix, Salesforce, ...). Filter by country, website language, domain strength and how recently the site was seen. Each website comes with its full tech stack.
Built for lead generation, agencies and SaaS sales teams, market research and competitor tracking. A BuiltWith and Wappalyzer alternative you pay per website, with no subscription.

### What you get

- **One row per website:** `domain`, `url`, `title`, `description`, `country`, `language`, `domain_rank` (0-1000, higher = stronger site) and `last_crawled`.
- **The full tech stack** of every website: a flat `technologies` list and `technologies_by_category` (ecommerce, payments, analytics, marketing automation, CDN, CMS, ...).
- **Combine technologies:** with several, only websites using all of them are listed, e.g. Shopify stores that also use Klaviyo.
- **Strongest websites first**, sorted by domain rank.
- **No personal data:** no e-mail addresses, phone numbers or social profiles, only company websites and their technology.

How big the lists are (measured 30 October 2026): 94,110 Shopify stores in the US and 33,445 in the UK and Ireland seen in the last 180 and 60 days.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `technologies` | Technology names, e.g. `Shopify`, `WooCommerce`, `Magento`, `Klaviyo`. Several = websites using all of them. Up to 10. Case does not matter; a misspelt name gets suggestions and costs only the start. |
| `countries` | Two-letter country codes, e.g. `US`, `GB`, `DE`. A website matches any of them. Empty = all countries. |
| `language` | Two-letter code of the website's language, e.g. `en`. Empty = any. |
| `maxResults` | How many websites, strongest first. Up to 10,000 per run. Default 20. |
| `crawledWithinDays` | Only websites seen in the last N days, so closed and moved stores drop out. Default 180, 0 = no limit. |
| `minDomainRank` | Only websites with at least this domain rank (0-1000). 0 = no limit. |

### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription:

- **$5 per 1,000 websites** ($0.005 per website).
- $0.02 per run start.

Examples: 100 Shopify stores cost $0.52. A list of 5,000 stores costs $25.02. A run that finds nothing costs only the start.
Cap the cost of a run with the maximum charge setting; the Actor asks the data source only for as many websites as the budget can pay for, and never charges beyond it.
**Try it for $0.02:** the pre-filled example (top 20 Shopify stores in the US) is answered from a saved snapshot of a real list (rows carry `from_snapshot: true`) and costs only the run start. Change anything and the list runs live.
Live lists need a paid Apify plan (any plan); the pre-filled example works on the free plan.

### Good to know

- Technologies are detected from each website's code by a large web crawler; a site that changed platform shows up as of its `last_crawled` date.
- Country is where the website is located or aimed at, as the crawler sees it; it is not always the company's legal home.
- A list of 15 websites took 7 seconds in our test; lists are fetched 1,000 websites per request, so big lists take longer.
- Run it from the API, n8n/Make/Zapier or AI agents through MCP, or on a schedule to catch new stores.
