## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Email Extractor & Contact Finder

Give a list of company websites. For each one you get the company's email address, phone number, social profiles and postal address, taken from the site's own home, contact, about and imprint pages.

- **Bulk:** up to 10,000 websites per run, or a whole Apify dataset (Google Maps, SERP or leads results).
- **Cheap and fair:** $2 per 1,000 websites where an email address or phone number was found. Websites with nothing found (or only social links) and websites that could not be read are free. You pay per website, not per page.
- **GDPR-safe by design:** only company role addresses (info@, sales@, support@, kundeservice@ ...) are returned. Addresses that look like a person's (anna@, j.smith@) are counted but never output.

### What you get

One row per website:

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `website`, `domain` | `https://tibber.com/`, `tibber.com` |
| `company_name` | `Plausible Analytics` |
| `email` | the best general address, e.g. `hello@tibber.com` |
| `emails` | every role address on the company's own domain |
| `phone`, `phones` | `+4722563300` (from tel: links on the home, contact and customer-service pages, and structured data) |
| `facebook`, `instagram`, `linkedin`, `x`, `youtube`, `tiktok`, `pinterest` | company profile links (personal LinkedIn profiles are left out) |
| `address` | `Västriku tn 2, 50403, Tartu, EE` (from the site's structured data) |
| `personal_emails_skipped` | how many personal-looking addresses were left out |
| `pages_checked`, `found`, `checked_at` | |

Sites that could not be read get a row with `error` and `errorMessage` (`blocked`, `unreachable`, `robots_disallowed`, `timeout`, `invalid_url`), never charged.

### Example

05.11.2026, three websites:

| Website | Email | LinkedIn |
|---|---|---|
| plausible.io | hello@plausible.io | linkedin.com/company/plausible-analytics |
| tibber.com | hello@tibber.com | linkedin.com/company/tibber |
| ghost.org | support@ghost.org | |

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `websites` | Domains or URLs, one per line. Duplicates are removed. |
| `datasetId` | Or pick a dataset from another run. The website is read from `website`, `url` or `domain`, or from the field you name in `datasetField`. |
| `maxPagesPerSite` | 1–20, default 5: the home page plus contact, about and imprint pages. |

### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription:

- **$0.002 per website with an email address or phone number** ($2 per 1,000). Social links and the address come free with it.
- $0.001 per run start.
- Nothing for websites without an email or phone (even if social links were found), or that could not be read.

Example: 1,000 websites where 700 have an email or phone cost $1.40. Set a maximum charge and the run stops cleanly when it is reached.

### Good to know

- Only what the website itself publishes is collected. No logins, no guessing of addresses, no third-party databases.
- The Actor respects robots.txt and visits each site gently, with an honest bot name. Sites that block automated visits are reported as `blocked` (free).
- Big brands often show only a contact form; small and mid-sized companies usually publish an address. Expect most results for local businesses, shops and B2B companies.
- Addresses on other domains (a newsletter tool, a parent company) are left out, so every email belongs to the website you asked about.

# Actor input Schema

## `websites` (type: `array`):

Company websites or domains, one per line (acme.com, https://www.acme.co.uk ...). Duplicates are removed. Up to 10,000 per run.

## `datasetId` (type: `string`):

E.g. the results of a Google Maps, SERP or leads run. The website is read from the field below, or from website / url / domain automatically.

## `datasetField` (type: `string`):

Leave empty to use website, url or domain automatically.

## `maxPagesPerSite` (type: `integer`):

The home page plus contact, about and imprint pages. 5 finds almost everything; the price is per website, not per page.
