## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Ads Transparency Scraper

Every Google ad a brand runs, from Google's Ads Transparency Center, in one spreadsheet. For each ad you get:

- headline, description and button
- the landing page, with its tracking parameters
- the image, or the YouTube video
- first and last day shown
- with **details**: every version of the ad, the countries it ran in, and for Europe the times shown and targeting

Search Google Search, YouTube, Shopping, Maps and Play ads by domain, advertiser name or Transparency Center link. No account needed.

**$1.50 per 1,000 ads.**

### Who uses it

- **Marketers and agencies**: see what competitors advertise, where their ads lead and which offers they test.
- **Ad creative teams**: a swipe file of a brand's images, videos and headlines.
- **E-commerce sellers**: the products and landing pages rivals pay to promote.
- **Researchers and journalists**: who advertises what, in which countries, and since when.

### What you get

| | Fields |
|---|---|
| Ad | format (text, image or video), headline, description, button, sitelinks, app name and Play Store id |
| Destination | landing page, address the ad displays |
| Media | image, YouTube video and thumbnail |
| Advertiser | name, Google advertiser id, domain |
| Dates | first and last time shown |
| Details | every version of the ad, each country with its first and last day, times shown in Europe, audience targeting |

### Examples

**A competitor's latest ads:**

```json
{ "targets": ["nike.com"], "maxAds": 200 }
```

**Video ads shown in Germany since September, with details:**

```json
{ "targets": ["adidas.de"], "region": "DE", "format": "video", "shownFrom": "2026-09-01", "details": true }
```

**New ads from several competitors, run every morning:**

```json
{ "targets": ["Booking.com B.V.", "expedia.com", "AR16735076323512287233"], "onlyNew": true, "maxAds": 500 }
```

### Output

```json
{
  "advertiserId": "AR00931916197090295809",
  "region": null,
  "target": "temu.com",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-18T21:36:47.052Z"
}
```

With **details**, each ad also has `variations` (the same fields for every version), `countries` and, where Google publishes them, `impressionsMin`, `impressionsMax` and `targeting`:

```json
{
  "countries": [
    { "country": "TR", "firstShown": "2025-10-27", "lastShown": "2026-10-17", "impressionsMin": 2000, "impressionsMax": 3000 },
  "targeting": { "demographics": "included", "locations": "included", "contextualSignals": "included and excluded" }
}
```

Export as Excel, CSV or JSON, or open the **Ads** table with images in the dataset.

### Pricing

**$1.50 per 1,000 ads**, plus **$1.00 per 1,000 ads with details**. A search Google doesn't answer costs nothing.

| Run | Cost |
|---|---|
| 200 ads from one competitor | $0.30 |
| 1,000 ads with details | $2.50 |
| Daily check for new ads, 10 a day | about $0.45 a month |

**Ads per domain, advertiser or name** caps the cost of a run. Apify's free plan credit covers about 3,000 ads a month.

### Tips

- Newest ads come first: sorted by the last time they were shown.
- An advertiser name returns every advertiser account whose name starts with it as a whole word: "Nike" finds "Nike, Inc." and "Nike Retail BV", not "Nikeland". For one account, paste its Transparency Center link or its id.
- **Only new ads** remembers each search, so set it on a scheduled task. The first run returns the latest ads as usual. Each search looks for new ones among the 1,000 ads shown most recently; for advertisers with more, add a country or format.
- Google keeps many text ads only as a picture. They come with `imageUrl` and no headline or description.
- Times shown, first day per country and targeting exist only for the European Union and Turkey, where the law requires Google to publish them.
- Platform filters cover ads shown since September 2023.
- An ad found by two targets is returned, and charged, once.

### FAQ

**Does it cover Meta or TikTok ads?**
No, only Google's ads.

**Can I use it as an API?**
Yes. Call it from Python, JavaScript or any HTTP client (see the API tab), or connect it to Make, Zapier or n8n.

**Is it legal?**
It collects what Google publishes in its Ads Transparency Center for anyone to see, without an account. Check Google's terms for how you use the data.

# Actor input Schema

## `targets` (type: `array`):

A domain (nike.com) brings every advertiser running ads that lead to it. Also takes an advertiser name, an advertiser ID (AR…) or a link to an advertiser, ad or domain page of adstransparency.google.com.

## `region` (type: `string`):

Only ads shown in this country. Google publishes reach and targeting for EU countries and Turkey.

## `format` (type: `string`):

Text covers search ads, image covers display and Shopping ads, video covers YouTube.

## `platform` (type: `string`):

Google only tags ads shown since September 2023 with their platform, so older ones drop out when you pick one.

## `shownFrom` (type: `string`):

Ads running at any time from this day on.

## `shownTo` (type: `string`):

Ads running at any time up to this day.

## `maxAds` (type: `integer`):

Newest first. Also caps the cost: each one stops here.

## `details` (type: `boolean`):

Every version of each ad, the countries it ran in with first and last days, and for Europe the times shown and audience targeting. Charged per ad on top of the ad itself.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Return only ads that started running since this search last ran. Schedule it to follow a competitor's new ads.
