## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Instagram Influencer Scraper

Turn a list of Instagram usernames into influencer profiles: how to reach them, how big they are and how their latest posts perform.

**$6 per 1,000 profiles.** Contacts and engagement are included.

### What you get for each profile

- **Contacts**: public email and phone, emails written in the bio, WhatsApp, city and address when the account shows them, and every link in the bio.
- **Reach**: followers, following, posts and reels.
- **Engagement**: engagement rate, average likes, comments and reel plays over the latest 12 posts, with pinned posts left out.
- **Activity**: posts a week and the date of the last post.
- **Brand deals**: paid partnerships among the latest posts, the accounts tagged or mentioned in them (usually the brands), and accounts the bio links to.
- **Profile**: name, bio, verified, account type (personal, business or creator) and profile picture.
- **Optional**: country, the month the account was created and its number of former usernames, for $3 more per 1,000.

### What it's for

- **Vetting creators before a campaign**: compare engagement, activity and past brand deals in one table.
- **Outreach lists**: contacts and links for every creator on your list, ready for a CRM or spreadsheet.
- **Tracking a roster**: run it weekly on the same usernames to follow followers and engagement.
- **Data for AI agents and dashboards**: clean JSON, CSV or Excel, or straight from the API.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `usernames` | Usernames or profile URLs, one per line |
| `includeAboutSection` | Adds country, account age and former usernames |

Coming from Apify's Instagram Profile Scraper? These are its input field names, and the profile fields in the output keep its names too (`username`, `fullName`, `followersCount`, `followsCount`, `postsCount`, `verified`…).

### Output

One row per profile:

```json
{
  "inputUrl": "nasa",
  "id": "528817151",
  "username": "nasa",
  "url": "https://www.instagram.com/nasa/",
  "fullName": "NASA",
  "biography": "Making the seemingly impossible, possible. ✨",
  "verified": true,
  "private": false,
  "accountType": "Business",
  "followersCount": 104384388,
  "followsCount": 90,
  "postsCount": 4967,
  "profilePicUrlHD": "https://scontent-iad6-1.cdninstagram.com/v/...",
  "email": "public-inquiries@hq.nasa.gov",
  "emailsInBio": [],
  "phone": null,
  "externalUrl": "https://www.nasa.gov",
  "externalUrls": ["https://www.nasa.gov", "https://www.nasa.gov/maxpower", "http://nasa.gov/ways-to-watch"],
  "bioMentions": [],
  "postsAnalyzed": 9,
  "avgLikes": 503334,
  "avgComments": 1980,
  "engagementRate": 0.48,
  "avgReelPlays": 3574497,
  "postsPerWeek": 5.6,
  "lastPostAt": "2026-10-16T14:41:52.000Z",
  "paidPartnershipPosts": 0,
  "paidPartnershipAccounts": [],
  "topHashtags": ["nasa", "hubble", "nebula", "butterfly", "astrophotography"]
}
```

Engagement needs public posts, so private accounts come without it. Usernames that don't exist get a row with the reason, free of charge:

```json
{ "input": "some_missing_account", "error": "Not found" }
```

### Price

- **$6 per 1,000 profiles**, with contacts and engagement
- **$3 per 1,000 profiles** for country and account age, when turned on
- Missing or invalid usernames: free

| Run | Cost |
|---|---|
| 100 profiles | $0.60 |
| 1,000 profiles with country and account age | $9.00 |

A run stops at the maximum cost you set for it. On Apify's free plan, a run returns up to 10 profiles.

### FAQ

**How is the engagement rate calculated?**
Average likes plus average comments over the latest 12 posts, divided by followers. Pinned posts are left out because they can be years old. When an account hides likes, the rate is left empty rather than guessed.

**Does every profile come with an email?**
No. Only accounts that show a contact email or write one in their bio.

**Can it find influencers by topic?**
Not yet: it reads the usernames you give it.

**Is it legal?**
It reads only what accounts show publicly. Names, emails and phones are personal data under GDPR and similar laws: use them for a legitimate purpose, such as business outreach the person can opt out of, and honor deletion requests.
