## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

**$0.30 per 1,000 comments.**

### What it's for

- **Audience research**: what viewers ask, praise and complain about under your videos or a competitor's.
- **Sentiment and AI analysis**: clean text with likes, ready for a model or a spreadsheet.
- **Giveaways and community management**: who commented, with their username and profile.
- **Lead finding**: the people engaging with videos in your niche.

### Input

|---|---|
| `postURLs` | Video, slideshow or short links, one per line |
| `commentsPerPost` | Comments per video, replies included (default 100) |
| `maxRepliesPerComment` | Replies under each comment (default 0) |

| `resultsPerPage` | Videos per profile (default 10) |
| `oldestPostDateUnified` | Only videos posted on or after a date like `2026-09-01`, or within a period like `7 days` |
| `excludePinnedPosts` | Leave out pinned videos |

Coming from another TikTok scraper? These are the input and output field names of the most used TikTok comments scraper on Apify (`cid`, `uniqueId`, `diggCount`, `repliesToId`…). Saved inputs, API calls and integrations keep working.

### Output

One row per comment or reply, in the order TikTok shows them, each reply right after its comment:

```json
{
  "cid": "7697310343165117206",
  "text": "Lame is the GOAT",
  "createTimeISO": "2026-10-16T16:55:53.000Z",
  "diggCount": 4693,
  "replyCommentTotal": 56,
  "uid": "6800000000000000001",
  "uniqueId": "example_fan",
  "repliesToId": null,
  "avatarThumbnail": "https://p19-common-sign.tiktokcdn-us.com/...",
  "likedByAuthor": false,
  "pinnedByAuthor": false,
  "input": "https://www.tiktok.com/@khaby.lame/video/7697307919943060767"
}
```

Replies carry the ID of the comment they answer in `repliesToId`. Photos posted in comments are in `images`.

Videos and profiles that can't be read get a row with the reason, free of charge:

```json
{ "input": "https://www.tiktok.com/@someone/video/7000000000000000000", "error": "Not found" }
```

### Price

- **$0.30 per 1,000 comments**, replies included
- **$0.002 per video** that returns comments
- Private, deleted or invalid videos: free

| Run | Cost |
|---|---|
| 10 videos, 100 comments each | $0.32 |
| 100 videos, 50 comments each | $1.70 |

A run stops at the maximum cost you set for it. On Apify's free plan, a run returns up to 100 comments.

### FAQ

**Can I get only the newest comments?**
Not yet: comments come in TikTok's order, most relevant first.

**Is it legal?**
It reads only public comments. Usernames and comment text are personal data under GDPR and similar laws: use them for a legitimate purpose and honor deletion requests.
