## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikTok Scraper

Get TikTok videos from profiles, hashtags, searches or video URLs: caption, plays, likes, comments, shares, saves, author with followers and likes, music, hashtags, mentions, subtitles and video links.

**$0.30 per 1,000 videos.**

### What it's for

- **Creator and competitor tracking**: every new video and its engagement, on a schedule with *Posted on or after* set to `1 day`.
- **Trend and hashtag research**: the videos TikTok ranks highest for a hashtag or a keyword, with their sounds and captions.
- **Influencer discovery**: authors come with followers, total likes, bio, verified badge and region.
- **Campaign reports**: paid partnerships are flagged in `isSponsored`.
- **Data for AI agents and dashboards**: clean JSON, CSV or Excel, or straight from the API.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `profiles` | Usernames or profile URLs; each returns its latest videos |
| `hashtags` | Hashtags, with or without `#`; each returns the videos TikTok ranks highest for it |
| `searchQueries` | Keywords; each returns the videos TikTok shows first for it |
| `postURLs` | Video, slideshow or short links (`vm.tiktok.com`) |
| `resultsPerPage` | Videos per profile, hashtag or search (default 100) |
| `oldestPostDateUnified` | A date like `2026-09-01`, a period like `7 days`, or a number of days (`1` is today) |
| `newestPostDate` | Leave out videos posted after this date |
| `excludePinnedPosts` | Leave out pinned videos, which stay on top of a profile however old they are |
| `leastDiggs`, `mostDiggs` | Keep videos within a range of likes |

Coming from another TikTok scraper? These are the input and output field names of the most used TikTok scraper on Apify (`authorMeta`, `playCount`, `diggCount`, `webVideoUrl`…). Saved inputs, API calls and integrations keep working.

### Output

One row per video:

```json
{
  "id": "7694335322922044703",
  "text": "Was the ball out, or was it just my imagination? 🤨#learnfromkhaby #comedy",
  "createTimeISO": "2026-10-08T16:31:16.000Z",
  "webVideoUrl": "https://www.tiktok.com/@khaby.lame/video/7694335322922044703",
  "locationCreated": "US",
  "isSponsored": false,
  "isPinned": false,
  "isSlideshow": false,
  "authorMeta": {
    "name": "khaby.lame",
    "nickName": "Khabane lame",
    "verified": true,
    "fans": 163000000,
    "heart": 2700000000,
    "video": 1359
  },
  "musicMeta": { "musicName": "original sound - khaby.lame", "musicAuthor": "Khabane lame", "musicOriginal": true },
  "videoMeta": { "width": 720, "height": 1280, "duration": 30.6, "coverUrl": "https://p16-common-sign.tiktokcdn-us.com/...", "downloadAddr": "https://v16m.tiktokcdn-us.com/..." },
  "playCount": 6187632,
  "diggCount": 653995,
  "commentCount": 12042,
  "shareCount": 20103,
  "collectCount": 38193,
  "hashtags": [{ "id": "1697657584273413", "name": "learnfromkhaby" }, { "id": "1606334392378370", "name": "comedy" }],
  "input": "khaby.lame",
  "fromProfileSection": "videos"
}
```

Slideshows (`"isSlideshow": true`) list their images in `slideshowImageLinks`. Hashtag rows carry `searchHashtag` with the hashtag's total views, and search rows `searchQuery`. In hashtag and search results TikTok leaves out most author counts, so those are `null`.

Inputs that can't be read get a row with the reason, free of charge:

```json
{ "input": "some_private_account", "error": "Private profile" }
```

### Price

- **$0.30 per 1,000 videos**
- **$0.002 per profile, hashtag, search or video URL** that returns videos
- Private, missing or invalid inputs: free

| Run | Cost |
|---|---|
| 100 profiles, 20 videos each | $0.80 |
| 1 hashtag, 1,000 videos | $0.30 |
| 500 video URLs | $1.15 |

A run stops at the maximum cost you set for it. On Apify's free plan, a run returns up to 100 videos.

### FAQ

**Can it download the video files?**
Each row links to the video (`videoMeta.downloadAddr`), its cover and its slideshow images. The video link expires after about a day.

**Does it get comments or followers?**
Use the TikTok Comments Scraper and the TikTok Followers Scraper, at the same price per row.

**Why are a hashtag's videos from different years?**
TikTok ranks a hashtag's videos by popularity, not date. Set *Posted on or after* to keep only recent ones.

**Does it work with private profiles?**
No. Only public profiles and videos.

**Is it legal?**
It reads only public profiles and videos. Captions and usernames can be personal data under GDPR and similar laws: use them for a legitimate purpose and honor deletion requests.
