## Pricing

from $0.30 / 1,000 comments

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## YouTube Comments Scraper – Likes, Replies, Dates

Scrape **YouTube comments** from any video: author and channel link, comment text, **exact date**, **likes** and **number of replies** — up to 700 top comments per video, for as many videos as you want.

No YouTube account, no API key, no "Sign in to confirm you're not a bot" blocks: comments come through a licensed data provider.

### Why this one

| | This Actor |
|---|---|
| Price | **$0.50 per 1,000 comments**, down to $0.30 on paid plans |
| Fields | author, author channel, avatar, text, exact date, likes, replies, video title and total comments |
| Filters | minimum likes (filtered comments are not charged) |
| Reliability | no blocks or captchas |
| Videos without comments | reported, **not charged** |

### Input example

```json
{ "videos": ["https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aircAruvnKk", "https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ"], "maxCommentsPerVideo": 300 }
```

### Output example (real run)

```json
{
  "videoId": "aircAruvnKk",
  "videoTitle": "But what is a neural network? | Deep learning chapter 1",
  "videoCommentsCount": 9438,
  "author": "@erwinschrodinger9693",
  "text": "In class : printf(\"Hello world\");\nThe exam :",
  "likes": 3500,
  "replies": 50,
  "publishedAt": "2020-10-25 18:31:28 +00:00"
}
```

In that run, 600 comments from 2 videos took 26 seconds.

### Use cases

- **Audience research**: what viewers love, ask and complain about — feed it to an LLM for insights.
- **Brand & product monitoring**: reactions to reviews, launches and ads.
- **Creators & agencies**: find the most liked questions to answer in the next video.

### Pricing

**$0.50 per 1,000 comments** on the free plan, **$0.40** on Starter, down to **$0.30** on higher plans. Videos without comments and errors are not charged.

### Apify free plan

On the **Apify free plan** you get **one free trial run** (1 video, up to 100 comments) with no setup. After that, add **your own DataForSEO API login** in the "Apify free plan" section (DataForSEO gives $1 of free credit at sign‑up), or use a paid Apify plan — no key needed and no limit. A blocked run stops immediately with a message and nothing is charged.

### Good to know

- Comments come in YouTube's default order (top comments first); up to 700 per video.
- Reply texts are not included — the `replies` field gives their number.
