## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Hyperliquid Crowd, Smart Money & Liquidation Signals

**Is a Hyperliquid perp crowded right now, how are Hyperliquid's most profitable traders positioned in it, and what
historically happened next?** One record per coin, refreshed hourly, from [Annalist](https://annalist.dev).

Built for trading bots, AI agents and research workflows that want **context**, not just raw prices.

### What you get for each coin

**Crowd state**

- 7-day and 1-day move, 7-day average volume, days since listing
- Funding: hourly rate, APR, its percentile against the coin's own last 90 days and against all perps, and the 7-day
funding percentile against the coin's own last year
- Open interest in USD, plus its 24-hour and 7-day change
- Premium to oracle price
- Wikipedia attention ratio for major coins
- Active **crowd states**: `up_50pct_7d`, `up_100pct_7d`, `up_200pct_7d`, `funding_top5`, `funding_bottom5`,
  `attention_spike_3x`, `new_listing`

**Base rates for each active state:** what happened after similar states on Hyperliquid's own history. Each comes
with its sample size, the median and spread of 7/30/90-day returns, and the share of cases that ran up another
50–100% or fell 50%.

**Smart-money positioning**, from a cohort of Hyperliquid's most profitable directional traders:

- traders long vs. short, and long, short and net exposure in USD
- the 24-hour change
- **concentration**: the largest wallet's share, plus the trader-count view
- their share of open interest
- leverage settings
- flags such as `smart_short_into_crowd_long`

**Liquidation levels and order-book depth** (optional, `includeLiquidations`):

- USD of large accounts' known long positions that would be liquidated within 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 and 20% below the price,
  and of shorts above it
- the biggest liquidation clusters with their prices, and how concentrated they are
- how much of open interest the known positions cover
- live order-book depth within 0.5 to 10%, spread, and slippage for $10k, $100k and $1M orders
- cascade ratios (known liquidations within 2% and 5% against resting depth there) and flags: `long_cascade_risk`,
  `short_squeeze_risk`, `thin_book`

Only aggregates are reported, never wallet addresses.

### Modes

| Mode | Output | Price |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `coins` | One record per coin you list | **$0.01 per coin**, plus **$0.02 per coin** with liquidation levels |
| `market` | Market-wide crowding plus smart-money overview | **$0.02 per run** |
| `states` | Every perp currently in a crowd state, with base rates | **$0.02 per run** |

You pay only for records returned. Unknown coins and errors are free.

### Why trust it

- **Signed.** Every record carries an Ed25519 signature (key at
  `https://api.annalist.dev/.well-known/annalist-key.json`).
- **Can't be backfilled.** The archive behind it is append-only, and its daily fingerprints are published in a
  [public ledger](https://github.com/ryanroskowski/annalist-ledger) with Bitcoin timestamps.
- **Clean sources.** Hyperliquid's public chain data and Wikipedia pageviews only.
- **Track record.** A free, live record of how each state actually played out is at
  `https://api.annalist.dev/v1/accuracy`.

# Actor input Schema

## `mode` (type: `string`):

coins: one record per coin you list (crowd state, base rates, smart money). market: one market-wide overview. states: every perp currently in a crowd state.

## `coins` (type: `array`):

Hyperliquid perp symbols (case-sensitive), for example BTC, ETH, SOL, HYPE, kPEPE. Used in 'coins' mode.

## `includeSmartMoney` (type: `boolean`):

Add how a cohort of Hyperliquid's most profitable directional traders is positioned in each coin (aggregates only).

## `includeLiquidations` (type: `boolean`):

Add, per coin: how much of large accounts' known positions would be liquidated within 1-20% of the price (longs below, shorts above), the biggest clusters, order-book depth, slippage and cascade ratios. Charged as a separate event per coin. 'coins' mode only.

## `state` (type: `string`):

Optional, 'states' mode only.
