## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Blocket Scraper - second-hand goods listings and prices from Sweden

This Blocket scraper exports public goods ads from blocket.se by keyword, filters or a
pasted search URL, and gives you the title, the asking price in SEK, the town with
coordinates, the seller type, shipping options and the full photo set as clean rows in
JSON, CSV or Excel. Use it for resale price research, sourcing, competitor monitoring and
tracking new ads on Sweden's largest marketplace, without an account or a Blocket API key.

### What you get

- One dataset row per unique ad, with up to 53 ads per search page, paged automatically
  until your row limit
- Stable listing id, title and canonical ad URL
- Asking price as a number in SEK; giveaways keep a price of zero
- Town or municipality, latitude, longitude and location accuracy
- Private or business seller, and the business name when Blocket shows one
- Shipping available, free shipping, buy-now and sold flags
- Every image URL plus the image count and the primary image
- Brand and ad attributes such as memory size or clothing size when Blocket provides them
- Publication timestamp, advertisement type (for sale, giveaway, wanted) and the original
  Swedish badge labels
- A run summary that separates "this search found nothing" from "a page could not be
  collected"

### What this Blocket scraper covers

This actor covers Blocket's goods marketplace, also called recommerce or Torget. It is useful
for second-hand electronics, furniture, clothing, sports equipment, children's products,
hobbies and other goods. It also includes the vehicle-accessories goods category. Car and
boat sales, property listings and job advertisements are outside this actor's scope.

The actor returns the search results that Blocket provides. It does not apply an additional
product-matching filter. A search for a phone can therefore include accessories, wanted ads
and listings mentioning the phone alongside the phone itself. Use categories, price filters
and advertisement type to make the results more specific for your project.

### How to scrape Blocket

1. Type a search keyword, or paste a search URL you already use on blocket.se.
2. Optionally pick a category, county, price range, condition or seller type.
3. Set the maximum number of ads and start the run.
4. Download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

### Input

Provide `query` for a search keyword. Swedish words usually give the most useful results.
Alternatively, provide `url` with a Blocket goods search URL copied after applying your
preferred filters. A URL takes precedence over keyword and filter fields. An explicitly
supplied `sort` value can override the sorting in that URL. Repeated URL filters, such as
multiple counties, are preserved.

Set `max_items` to the maximum number of unique ads you want. The default is 100 and the
allowed range is 1 to 2,650. `maxItems` is also accepted; if both names are supplied,
`maxItems` takes precedence. You can search with filters alone when you do not have a keyword.

Available filters include category (`category`, `sub_category`), Swedish county
(`region`), minimum and maximum price in SEK (`price_min`, `price_max`), `condition`,
`seller_type`, advertisement type (`ad_type`), shipping availability (`shipping_only`)
and ads published today (`published_today`). The input descriptions list the category and
county ids. A pasted URL is convenient for filters with several selected values or
additional options available on Blocket.

Sorting supports relevance, newest, oldest, lowest price and highest price. When sorting is
omitted, a pasted URL keeps its original order and a keyword search uses Blocket's relevance
order. Giveaways have a numeric price of zero and can appear first when sorting by price.

Example input with a keyword:

```json
{ "query": "iphone 13", "max_items": 10 }
```

Example input with a pasted search URL (two counties selected):

```json
{
  "url": "https://www.blocket.se/recommerce/forsale/search?q=iphone+13&location=0.300001&location=0.300012",
  "max_items": 10
}
```

### Output

Each dataset row includes `listing_id`, `url`, `title`, `price`, `currency`, `country`,
`image_url`, `brand`, `condition`, `position`, `source` and `fetched_at`. Prices are numbers
in SEK. A zero price is retained as zero; null means that a price was unavailable.
Listings without a photo are retained with a null primary image.

Additional fields include image URLs and image count, town or municipality, coordinates,
publication timestamp, seller type, business seller name, shipping availability, free
shipping, buy-now availability, sold status, advertisement type and the original Swedish
badge labels. Attributes such as memory size and clothing size are included when Blocket
provides them. Private seller names are not supplied by the search results.

A real row from a search for `iphone 13`:

}
```
The `condition` field contains the Swedish label when the search selects exactly one known
condition. With no condition filter, an unknown value or multiple values, it is null. It
should not be treated as a separately verified condition for every
ad. This version does not fetch individual ad descriptions, postcodes, phone numbers or
additional detail-page information. Sold status and shipping fields reflect the source
at collection time and can change later.
The run summary includes delivered rows, successful page fetches and the result count
reported by Blocket. That source count can be larger than the number of accessible ads.
Source warnings are included when a page could not be collected or some fields were
unavailable. You can use these warnings to distinguish complete collections from partial ones.
### Pagination and limits
The actor follows continuation responses automatically and removes duplicate ad ids.
Positions run from one through the delivered results. Blocket exposes at most 50 search
pages, with up to 53 ads per page, so one search can return at most 2,650 ads. Fewer may be
available because the last page is short, ads disappear, or ads repeat across pages.
To collect more coverage, run separate searches for categories, counties or price ranges.
Keep the stable `listing_id` when combining exports so you can remove overlap between those
searches. Results are a live collection rather than a frozen marketplace snapshot; compare
the collection timestamp when combining runs made at different times.
### Use cases
- **Resale price research**: see what a used iPhone, sofa or pram actually sells for in
  each county before you buy stock or set your own price.
- **Sourcing for resellers**: sort by newest and run on a schedule to catch underpriced
  ads soon after they appear, like a Blocket bevakning that lands in your own spreadsheet.
- **Market and competitor monitoring**: follow how many business sellers list in a
  category, at which prices and with which shipping terms.
- **Circular-economy and academic research**: measure second-hand supply by category,
  region and season with coordinates and timestamps on every row.
- **Feeding apps and dashboards**: pull rows through the Apify API into a database, a
  price comparison tool or an alerting workflow.
### Blocket scraper versus other options
Blocket has no public API for searching goods ads. Its official Pro Import API is meant for
dealers who publish ads, not for reading listings. Open-source Blocket API wrappers on
GitHub and PyPI work if you want to run and maintain the code yourself, but you take care of
paging, rate limits, retries and site changes. Several other Store actors cover Blocket too;
many of them focus on cars. This actor focuses on the goods marketplace, keeps a pasted search
URL with all its filters, pages through every available result page up to your limit, and
reports in a run summary whether the collection was complete.
### Pricing
The price is $0.0007 per delivered listing, plus $0.0005 per run start.
For 100 delivered listings that is $0.0705 in actor events; the live Store pricing shown
when you start the run is authoritative. Search pages and retries do not have separate
listing fees. A search with no matches has no listing charge, while the run-start event
still applies.
Accounts without a paid Apify plan receive at most 10 results per run. Paying accounts can
request the full supported volume. The summary reports `free_tier_remaining`: zero after
10 free results, the unused allowance after fewer results, and -1 for paying users.
### FAQ
#### Is there an official Blocket API for listings?
Not for reading goods ads. Blocket's Pro Import API is for dealers who publish their own
ads. This Blocket scraper works as a ready-made Blocket API for search results: start a run
through the Apify API and read the dataset as JSON.
#### Can I paste the search URL I already use on Blocket?
Yes. Paste a goods search URL from `/recommerce/forsale/search`. Its filters are kept,
including multiple counties. Car searches and individual ad URLs are not supported inputs.
#### Can I get alerts for new ads, like a Blocket bevakning?
Yes. Sort by newest, schedule the actor on Apify to run every hour or day, and compare
`listing_id` values with the previous run. Connect a webhook or an integration to send new
ads to email, Slack or a spreadsheet.
#### Why are condition or seller name sometimes empty?
Condition is only filled when the search has exactly one known condition filter. If a pasted
URL selects multiple conditions, the condition of each listing is unknown and returned as
null. A business name is included when the source supplies one; private sellers do not have
that field in search results.
Other fields remain null when the source does not make them available.
#### Can I collect every matching ad in one run?
You can collect up to the requested maximum and the site's 50-page limit. If the displayed
result count exceeds that limit, divide the search into narrower categories, regions or
price ranges. The actor reports warnings when a collection is interrupted.
#### Are giveaways charged as listings?
Yes. A giveaway is a delivered advertisement with a price of zero. Its listing fee is the
same as any other delivered ad. The asking price is separate from the actor's collection fee.
#### Does it collect cars, boats, property or jobs?
No. This actor covers the goods marketplace only, including vehicle accessories. Car, boat,
property and job ads are outside its scope.
